Neuroverse Community CIC supports disabled and neurodivergent young people aged 12–16 who are unable to access school. We deliver LAMDA drama, Science and neuro-affirming education in Nailsworth and Stroud, Gloucestershire — as a registered LAMDA Private Examination Centre.

Our disabled and neurodivergent Founder is an ex-Charity Director, multi-award-winning education professional, former SENDCO and LAMDA Grade 8 holder. She has personally founded, run and delivered Neuroverse for 2 years, entirely voluntarily.

We are seeking Event Nurses to respond to and manage emergency calls/incidents whilst attending events. Event nurses shall provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care and undertake clinical assessment and interventions in the pre-hospital environment, which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports tracks, road races etc. This will mainly involve working in treatment units or temporary event medical centres.

Successful candidates will be registered nurses with the NMC and be able to provide evidence of CPD activity within the previous 12 months.

Role

Help clients understand and act on problems with debt, benefits, housing, or employment.

Support clients with forms, budgeting, and calls to service providers

Research solutions for clients’ problems and explain options clearly.

Our volunteer advisers talk to clients over the phone, face to face and

online to explore what issues they’ve come for help with and find

information about possible options. Advisers then help clients to

understand the information, and support them to take action.

You’ll also record case details on our computer system and spot common issues. The role offers full training and the chance to develop useful skills while making a difference in your community.

Commitment: 8 hours/week (flexible)

About The Role

As an Activities and Events volunteer, you will play a vital role in assisting staff leading a variety of fun, interactive and nature-based activities aimed at family groups, especially children, and also helping with aspects of our adult-friendly walks and talk programme that runs throughout the year. 

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You’ll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

Volunteer Ice Cream Bike Operator

About The Role

We’re looking for positive minded individuals who can bring joy and some theatre to Ice Cream sales whilst on the move on our electric trike at Martin Mere Wetland Centre.

Become the face (and wheels!) of Martin Mere Wetland Centre – a mobile, bike‑powered ice‑cream experience that pops up where the crowds are. You’ll steer one of our fully‑equipped electric bikes, to delight customers with ice cold refreshments and Ice-Creams. Use your entrepreneurial flair to maximise daily sales. Expect plenty of sunshine, spontaneous dance‑offs with kids, and the buzz of being on the move. 

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You’ll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

Carers Trust Solihull is looking for a First Point of Contact Admin Volunteer who enjoys helping people and keeping things organised. You will welcome new carers, handle enquiries, and make sure every person who joins our service gets a smooth and supportive start.

What you will do
• Record new carer registrations using our simple database.
• Prepare and post welcome packs, including carer ID cards.
• Complete the short 5-question contingency plan with each new carer.
• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the right team.
• Respond to enquiries in a calm and professional way.
• Log actions and update records so carers receive accurate support.
• Signpost carers to Solihull Council services when needed.
• Follow confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection procedures.

Asylum Aid (previously merged with Migrants Resource Centre under Consonant) is, and has long been, a leader in the Immigration and NGO sector: providing high-level legal support to ensure the protection of vulnerable refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. Now, in its 30th year of providing high quality legal and welfare support - our services are needed more than ever.

Through our Westminster Advice Services Partnership (WASP), with Westminster Citizens Advice, Age UK Westminster, DeafPlus and Groundwork London, we are able to provide vital support for the most vulnerable people living in Westminster who are struggling to meet their needs. This partnership allows us to provide important support to those for whom English is not their first language. These individuals often find themselves destitute with money problems, no employment, problems with immigration and housing. The focus of Asylum Aid’s welfare advice team is on migrant and vulnerable communities.  Our assistance can be transformative for individuals, and we are determined to do more to reach and support vulnerable people seeking safety.

Asylum Aid runs a drop-in information hub every Monday, as well as an advice phoneline on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, where Westminster residents can get support and advice in a range of areas, such as employment, housing and immigration. We are looking for a volunteer to support us at the information hub, specifically in carrying out client interviews and gateway sessions for clients seeking immigration advice. There we will also be the opportunity to work closely with and shadow solicitors. We particularly encourage residents of Westminster borough and surrounding boroughs to apply.

Volunteers will be trained on the job and will have to opportunity to attend thematic training, as well as receiving on-going support and supervision.

Main tasks and activities

• Gateway Assessor and Advice:
  • Conducting initial client assessments.
  • Conducting client interviews (by telephone and in person) to understand client problems and identify key information such as time limits.
  • Signposting/Referral; Referring and signposting clients appropriately (both internally and externally) following agreed protocols, including making appointments and informing clients of what they can expect.
  • Input data in excel and Advice pro.
  • Assisting immigration solicitors with sending letters to clients, contact clients, etc.
  • Assisting clients with general form filling, making phone call to agencies to resolve simple problems with benefit, housing, employers etc.
• Case Recording:
  • All clients’ cases are recorded for quality assurance purposes, and to ensure that the client can be offered an efficient service if the client requires further advice or the case becomes more complex. Your supervisor will discuss case recording with you.

We are looking for paramedics to help us with local events such as Armed Forces Day, Firework Championships, Remembrance Day, Half Marathons and many more. You will become part of a wonderful, friendly and goal driven team to deliver the best medical care we can. You will be on hand to help during patients time of need, and be required to assist in transferring them to the hospital if required, and handing over to hospital staff. The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN) is a leading national centre of excellence and one of the longest running charities and independent hospitals in the UK.

The RHN provides adult person centred services across the entire care pathway; from post acute rehabilitation to end of life care for people with complex neuro-disabilities. Underpinned by a strong research and education framework, the RHN is more than a hospital; it is a vibrant community where residents engage in music, art and holistic support to achieve the best possible quality of life.

Within our governance structure, the finance committee plays an important role in overseeing all financial matters including ensuring that our externally managed investment portfolio delivers targeted returns. The committee meets quarterly for two hours during office hours, remote access can be arranged though face to face attendance is preferred. In addition occasional meetings may be called to discuss investment performance.

We are looking for a Co-optee experienced in the management of charity investment portfolios to specifically assist trustee members of the finance committee in understanding and monitoring the performance of the portfolio; and further, all other areas of the committee’s business.

The position is unremunerated but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

About the Role

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. and our mission is to increase inclusion and representation for the disability community across society. We offer a variety of services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails, and more.

We are looking for volunteers to help to create some backdrops (that fold down small please, storage is an issue!) that we can use at our events and interactive workshops. Our workshop and safe bubble is all about creating an imaginative world and we want to make the experience as immersive as possible for families. We have already created a magical world called Bubble World and now we want to bring it to life.
