Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, through a network of volunteer groups. Read Easy groups are changing the lives of individual adults across the country by providing them with the support they need to learn to read, and in turn opening doors for them to all sorts of new opportunities in life. You will be helping your local community understand what a Read Easy group does; how local people can get the reading support they need; and how volunteers can help. There are two distinct forms of publicity, one requiring raising awareness by giving talks, putting up posters and talking to people generally about Read Easy. The second is using social media effectively to raise awareness and publicise your group. This roleis commonly supported by other members of
the team, with specific skills to offer.
What you will be doing
● Liaising with the Management Team to decide on the group’s publicity needs.
● Creating content for your group’s page on the Read Easy website.
● Being instrumental in raising awareness by giving talks, putting up posters and talking to people generally about Read Easy.
● Setting up and/or maintaining the group’s Facebook page, Twitter and/or other social media platforms to raise your group’s profile.
● Becoming familiar with the resources available to you on the Read Easy website.
● Organising the printing and placement of posters, leaflets, and other publicity materials.
● Identifying any specific opportunities for publicity in the local media.
● Ensuring that you have written permission from all parties to use any such material for the purposes you intend.
● Providing stories and photographs for the Read Easy UK website and newsletter about your group’s activities and achievements.

Detailed description
We are seeking qualified and compassionate children’s counsellors with specialisms in play therapy, art therapy, or drama therapy to volunteer their time and skills to support children navigating emotional, behavioural, or developmental challenges. As a Volunteer Therapist, you will provide a safe, creative, and therapeutic environment where children can express themselves and begin to heal.
·Provide 1:1 or small group therapeutic sessions using your specialised modality (play, art, or drama).
·Build trusting relationships with children to support emotional expression and psychological wellbeing.

Outline of the Safeguarding Champion role
As the Safeguarding Champion you will ensure that your group implements, understands and works within the Read Easy UK Safeguarding Policy and organising DBS checks when necessary.
How we will support you
You will be provided with the Management Team Handbook, training/induction, policies and guidance specifically needed for this role, including access to support from a Read Easy UK Regional Adviser, via your Team Leader. You will also be invited to Read Easy UK’s regional forums and annual conference which give volunteers an opportunity for networking with those from other groups.
What you will be doing
● Reporting and actioning any safeguarding issues raised within the Team.
● Becoming familiar with Read Easy Safeguarding and DBS policies and appendices.
● Liaising with the local Adult Safeguarding Helpdesk, to seek advice or refer a case to them for further action in accordance with the Safeguarding Policy.
● Providing an induction for new Management Team Members so they are aware of the safeguarding requirements of the group, using the resources provided.

● Being the single point of contact for anyone within the group who wants to report any form of abuse or suspected abuse, or who has concerns and needs advice.

HELP US LAUNCH MINDSET — AND CHANGE MEN & BOYS’ LIVES IN LONDON
This is a fully flexible and remote role!!!
We’re MINDSET Charity, a bold new start‑up charity in London on a mission to equip and empower men and boys with the tools they need for better mental health.
We’re building something powerful — a stigma‑free space where men and boys can learn real, non‑clinical and non‑therapeutic practical skills that strengthen resilience, boost wellbeing and create lasting change. Through motivational interviewing, solution‑focused approaches, self‑improvement practices, life coaching, mentoring and more, we will help men and boys build better habits, better mindsets and a better quality of life.
And right now, we’re getting set up and ready to launch — and we need Graphic Designer Volunteers to help us bring MINDSET to life visually.
YOUR IMPACT WILL BE HUGE
You’ll be joining at the very beginning — shaping the visual identity, brand assets and design materials that will introduce MINDSET to London’s communities.

THE ROLE: GRAPHIC DESIGNER (VOLUNTEER)
We’re looking for creative, thoughtful and mission‑driven designers who can help us build the visual foundations of MINDSET.
You’ll work closely with our Leadership Team to create the design assets that will support our launch, strengthen our brand identity and help us reach men and boys across London.
WHAT YOU WILL HELP US CREATE
1. Brand & Identity
A Brand Guidelines Booklet based on our current brand
Colour palettes, typography rules, layout systems
Iconography, visual motifs and brand consistency tools
2. Launch Materials
Roller banners for events, workshops and outreach
Posters for community spaces, schools, youth centres and partners
Merchandise concepts (t‑shirts, badges, tote bags, wristbands)
Business stationery (letterheads, business cards, email signatures)
Social media graphics and digital assets
3. Community Outreach
Visual materials that help men and boys feel welcome, safe and understood
Designs that communicate our mission clearly and confidently
Assets that support programmes, workshops and early intervention activities
