As an Adult Carers Activities Volunteer, you support adults aged 25 and over who juggle demanding caring roles. You help them enjoy time for themselves through group sessions, meet ups, wellbeing activities, workshops, and social events across Solihull. Your support creates calm, safe spaces where carers can connect with others and focus on their own wellbeing.

What you do
• Help staff set up and run planned group activities.
• Welcome carers and support them through each session.
• Take on simple tasks that keep sessions running smoothly.
• Follow safety guidance and respond to rota requests.
• Join short online check ins every two months.
• Take part in training linked to the role.
• Report concerns or incidents to the Lead Worker.
• Encourage carers to join in and feel comfortable.

What helps you succeed
• At least two years’ experience in a community or people focused setting.
• A friendly and confident way with groups.
• An adaptable approach that supports different needs.

About the Role
We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales & Business Development Volunteer to help drive our growth and expand our reach. Key Responsibilities
As a Sales & Business Development Volunteer, you'll work closely with our team to identify new opportunities and build lasting partnerships. Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and identifying potential clients, business leads, sponsors, partners, and business opportunities.
• Supporting the development of sales strategies and outreach campaigns.
• Helping to create compelling proposals and presentations.
• Conducting initial outreach to prospective clients via email, phone, and social media
• Help maintain the contact database with updated leads and follow-up notes.
• Analysing market trends and competitor activities.
• Contributing ideas to improve our sales processes and materials.
• Reach out to companies, NGOs, and institutions to introduce TESYouth’s initiatives.

The role

This is a varied, practical role supporting a busy office. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day administrative work that keeps things running smoothly, particularly when workloads are high. Examples of tasks include:

• Order fulfilment; picking, packing patient booklets and materials, preparing to be posted

• Supporting the team preparing for upcoming events; travel arrangements, accommodation, venues, catering

• General admin; filing, stock taking, shredding, scanning

While this is a volunteer role, the work is meaningful, active, and very much part of the core team.   You don’t need to have worked in a charity before - you just need a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to get involved.

Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate one to one Youth Mentors to support and guide young individuals in their personal and educational development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and youth, providing mentorship, and fostering a positive environment. This role is vital in helping young people navigate challenges, build self-esteem, and develop essential life skills.

Duties

• Provide one-on-one mentoring to youth, offering guidance and support tailored to individual needs.
• Meet with your young person once a week for up to 3 hours and go out into the community and do fun activities with them, from going for some food, a walk or a paid activity (expenses will be reimbursed to the volunteer).
• Foster a safe and supportive environment where young people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress for reporting purposes.

Help us to keep new online charity platform A Good Thing running smoothly. Come on board to manage our website.

A Good Thing is a not-for-profit set up with one mission: to send less to landfill, and more to a good cause. We're scaling fast right across the UK, with thousands of items being listed by businesses on our site, and are growing a network of passionate volunteers to support us as we grow.

You’ll be using your website management skills (and ideally Squarespace skills) to help us keep the website current, making changes and implementing updates. You’ll be working with other volunteers, plus the A Good Thing team.

You’ll be uploading new content to the website as it’s created (mostly blogs), and often using Canva to create graphics to accompany this content. Come with us on our journey towards reducing waste and boosting wonderful local charities at the same time.

You’ll need:

awesome website management skills

great Canva skills and an excellent eye for detail

a strong understanding of user experience

project management, scheduling and organisational skills

an interest in the environment and/or giving back to your local community

It would also be helpful if you had some previous experience of managing a charity website, and experience of working in a really small team or organisation.

About Sanata Charitable Trust

The Sanata Charitable Trust is a registered charity and consists of two Trusts, one based in the United Kingdom, the other in Gilgil, Kenya.  The purpose of the UK Trust is to generate funds for the development and ongoing costs of the Restart Africa Children’s Centre.

Restart Africa children’s home was established in 2008 in response to the desperate needs of street children in Gilgil who are at serious risk of violence, abuse and starvation. Starting with 6 children, the centre has expanded over the years to a purpose-built home that currently has nearly 100 children in its care. Receiving no government funding, the centre is fully reliant on donations and sponsorship to finance operations. For the children in its care, Restart Africa fosters a loving, safe home, with meals, welfare and education, enabling them to enjoy their childhood and the opportunity to fulfil their potential. When it is time for the young adults to leave the permanent care of Restart, they are equipped with a qualification in their chosen field that will enable them to rejoin Kenyan society and build a success future for themselves. In conjunction with the life-changing benefits Restart Africa creates for those in its care, it also supports the local community by providing a range of employment opportunities in a safe and respectful working environment.

About the Role

The Marketing/Fundraising lead trustee role is being developed as part of our strategy to raise the profile of Restart Africa and diversify donation streams to ensure we grow sustainable financial foundations to underpin the amazing work of the Restart Africa centre. 

In addition to this Trustee role, we are also in the process of investing in a Marketing and Communications Executive which is a full time, permanent role based onsite at the Restart Africa centre.  The purpose of the role is to generate and publish emotionally engaging, authentic content that meets the needs of the varying stakeholder groups in a timely manner.

Main Trustee responsibilities:

· Provide the Board with strategic guidance for raising the profile of Restart Africa, diversifying donation streams, and addressing the ongoing engagement needs of differing stakeholder groups.

· Offer insights to the Board into advocacy trends, movement-building and changes in the fundraising landscape.

· Support the Marketing and Communications Executive in the development of the brand guidelines and strategy implementation.

· Communicate and coordinate actions required from fellow Trustees to support strategic implementation.

· Evaluate the channel/content performance and advise the Board on the success and challenges of the strategic implementation.

· Oversight of campaigns and marketing communications to ensure legal compliance, appropriate for the target stakeholders and are aligned with the charity’s policies and values.

Time Commitment

· 2 remote Board meetings per annum

· In person AGM, held in September

· Additional time as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role

Objective
ZAKKI is seeking an experienced digital and social media professional with a background in brand visibility and awareness, increasing followers and engagement, and authoring and curating brand-centric content that’s in line with style, voice, and tone. Reporting to the Chairperson, the Digital Marketing Manager will actively develop ZAKKI’s brand engagement to boost the SEO across the website and social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others.

Context
ZAKKI is a social startup focusing on creating an inclusive community for the elderly and people with disabilities. Our mission is to facilitate alms and donations collection and distribution to help the elderly and people with disabilities who work in the informal sector to get better livelihood through micro-business management, giving them greater market exposure.

Currently, we are still redesigning ZAKKI fully function product. We are expecting to develop the ZAKKI fully function product in the upcoming years.

ZAKKI is a non-profit foundation, and all ZAKKI teams and volunteers do not receive a salary. In return, the volunteer can enlist their contribution as part of ZAKKI as their portfolio during executing the project and upon the project completion. Furthermore, English proficiency will be required as the central communication, both in the documentation and verbal communication.

Engagement Description
The Content Creator will actively develop ZAKKI’s brand engagement across website and social media channels including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others. As a member of the Communications and Marketing Department, you’ll develop tactics to build brand visibility and awareness; grow a following and increase engagement; and author and curate brand-centric content that’s in line with ZAKKI style, voice, and tone.

You'll work cross-functionally to help communicate the latest happenings from ZAKKI and the social caused that we are advocating. You’ll develop benchmarks for our social media metrics and creative strategies for reaching our goals (most importantly, increasing followers and engagement and driving visitors to our website). Also, as an advocate for social media within ZAKKI, you’ll monitor our peer landscape along with trends, social conversations, and feedback in order to develop and implement recommendations to grow engagement, increase brand advocates, and deepen online relationships. You’ll also track weekly and quarterly analytics against benchmarks.

We're looking for a thoughtful, creative, and proactive communicator with an incredible attention to detail who can transform complex topics and issues into engaging social content that compels audiences to follow, interact with, and support our mission.

Responsibilities
• Develop and drive social media strategy in collaboration with the ZAKKI team
• Create original content--including copy, graphics, and video--for ZAKKI's official social media channels, both organic presence.
• Develop creative digital campaigns to drive support (collaboration, funding and partnerships) and recruit volunteers

• Proficient with social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, and Sprout
• Creative and basic graphic design and video skills using Canva and video editing tools
• Attention to detail
• Fluency with the basic principles of cost per click, impression, and reach
• Alignment with and ability to articulate ZAKKI’s mission and values, preferably with familiarity communicating about social caused, social inclusion, transparency, economics inclusion.
