We are looking for passionate Animal Advocates to join our Events Team and help raise vital funds for animals in need in their local community. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys connecting with people in their community, and wants to make a meaningful difference.

Animal Advocates organise and host small fundraising stalls within their local area, helping to raise awareness and funds to support animals who need our help.

Key Responsibilities

As an Animal Advocate, you will:

• Identify opportunities to hold a fundraising stall in your community at least once a month (for example at markets, fairs, community events or outside local businesses).
• Research and approach local businesses who may wish to donate items that can be sold to raise funds to support our work.
• Encourage people in your community to donate good-quality second-hand items that can be sold on the stall.
• Set up and run fundraising stalls to engage with the public and promote the charity’s work.
• Help raise awareness about the animals we support and the difference donations make.
• Be a vital part of our Events Team.

Volunteer with Shelter at the 2026 London Marathon

Would you like to have a great day out, while supporting Shelter’s fundraisers? 

The main thing we need you to do is cheer! You will be a vital part of race day, supporting 290 Shelter runners from the side lines. You’ll need to help create a high energy, friendly atmosphere, motivating everyone on race day to do their best.

Volunteering at this event is also an opportunity to have fun, meet new people and experience some wonderful community spirit whilst contributing towards our mission.

CONTEXT

The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in

Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children.

We aim to actively encourage women to be self-reliant, through empowering them to

identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions. We

offer a baby bank, a charity shop & various community support services to help

women facing crises or challenging situations.

Wolverhampton Baby Bank is a flagship project run by The Women & Families

Resource Centre, a registered charity supporting families with children aged 0-3.

Through donated essentials and community engagement, we provide much-needed

items such as:

• Essential supplies for babies and toddlers, including nappies, wipes, clothing, toys,

and bedding.

• Support services for new parents, including drop-in groups and befriending for

pregnant women and new mothers.

• Referrals and resources to connect families with additional community services.

Scope and Span

The Sorting Team Lead oversees the day-to-day coordination of the sorting function within WFRC, directly supervising volunteers during scheduled shifts and ensuring all donated items are processed efficiently, safely, and in line with organisational standards. The role is responsible for maintaining quality control, organisation of stock, volunteer task allocation, and adherence to the structured volunteer framework. While not responsible for overall strategic decisions, the Sorting Team Lead plays a key operational role in ensuring continuity, consistency, and readiness of essential supplies for families, escalating concerns where necessary to senior leadership.

Thank you for volunteering with The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC). Our work supports and empowers women and families facing challenging circumstances, and your role is essential in helping us provide consistent, reliable, and respectful services. To ensure fairness, sustainability, and high-quality support for the community, all volunteers are expected to follow the structured framework and guidelines below.

• Minimum of 12hrs per week and 4hrs per day

• Attend agreed shifts consistently and provide notice if unable to attend.

• Carry out agreed tasks responsibly, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

• Treat service users, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect and compassion.

On Tuesday 09 June, the London Legal Support Trust (LLST), will host its annual fundraising event, the London Legal Walk, bringing the legal community together to raise funds in support of free legal advice charities across London and the South East.

Last year over 18,000 legal professionals from over 1000 organisations took on the challenge, stepping up for justice. To make this year’s event an even bigger success, we are on the lookout for enthusiastic and dedicated 1-day event marshals to join one of the largest single day fundraising events in the country and add value to the thousands of event attendees.

The event is attended by high ranking judiciary, the President of the Law Society, the lady Chief Justice and hundreds of London’s top law firms, advice agencies, and chambers. Tasks

You will be positioned at a “cheer point” along the 10km route, where it will be your role to cheer and motivate walkers and offer support and encouragement as they go past. Your presence alone is enough to motivate thousands across the line and help raise as many funds as possible through a positive event experience. Other tasks may also include the setting up of the street party, registration desks, and stalls, as well as supporting in the cloakrooms.

After you’re done, you will be able to enjoy the street party!

As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in the governance and strategic oversight of the charity, ensuring that we operate effectively, achieve our mission, and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements. Trustees are collectively responsible for safeguarding the charity’s assets, ensuring they are used exclusively to further our objectives, and overseeing the charity’s financial health, including budgets, financial controls, and reporting. Acting with integrity and in the charity’s best interests is at the heart of the role.

The Treasurer oversees the financial affairs of the charity and ensures that they are conducted legally, transparently, and in line with the charity’s governing document. Working closely with the Chair, Managing Director, Trustees, and any staff or volunteers, the Treasurer helps safeguard the charity’s financial sustainability.

Women’s Consortium is recruiting a Clinical Lead – NHS Talking Therapies (with EMDR) to support and strengthen our service across Birmingham.

This is a senior clinical role for an experienced practitioner with strong skills in clinical leadership, supervision, safeguarding, audits, case management, service development, and trauma-informed practice. We are looking for someone who is also EMDR trained, with experience working with trauma presentations and supporting high standards of safe, effective care.

The postholder will play a key role in maintaining clinical quality, supporting practitioners, strengthening governance, and contributing to the ongoing development of the service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership across the NHS Talking Therapies service
• Hold a minimum caseload of 7 clients
• Deliver clinical supervision and/or case management
• Conduct 1 to 1 case management meetings
• Manage and respond to risk queries
• Maintain accurate oversight of risk and safeguarding concerns
• Conduct regular clinical audits to support ethical practice and effective note keeping
• Support service development and continuous improvement

Essential requirements

• A recognised qualification in CBT and/or other relevant modalities in line with NHS Talking Therapies service requirements and accreditation

- Some experience, knowledge and understanding of state schools and colleges

- Experience of income generation, policy, marketing and communication, or digital

We do not expect applicants to have all the above experience, and welcome first-time Trustees and will provide training and support on the role. We also welcome candidates with links to our priority area of west London, those from ethnic minority and black backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve, and from candidates with disabilities.
