We support older people across the county through vital services including befriending, information and advice, dementia support, practical help at home, and welfare benefits support - helping people stay independent, connected, and supported.

About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and confident Charity Ambassadors who are passionate about giving back to their community and making a difference, to help raise awareness of our work. This is a rewarding and flexible role, ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people and speaking in public.

As a Charity Ambassador, you will represent Age UK Buckinghamshire at a range of events and settings such as community groups, Rotary Clubs, Church groups, and other local events and venues. You will help raise awareness of the support available to older people, providing information about our services and how people can access advice, practical help, and companionship when they need it.

You will also share the impact of our work by bringing it to life through real examples and stories, helping others understand the real difference this support makes to older people’s lives. By demonstrating this impact, you will highlight why support through fundraising, volunteering, and partnership opportunities is so important in helping us reach more people in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging presentations and talks about Age UK Buckinghamshire’s work
• Represent the charity at community events, meetings, and local groups
• Help raise awareness of services available to older people
• Promoting planned fundraising initiatives and activities.
• Thank and recognise supporters and fundraisers within the community
• Assist in reviewing, adapting, and improving presentation materials (e.g. PowerPoint slides)
• Act as a positive and professional ambassador for the organisation

Time commitment

This is a flexible role to suit your availability. Charity Ambassadors will be contacted as appropriate and offered the opportunity to attend events to which we are invited. Talks and events may be delivered alongside another volunteer or staff member, or occasionally independently.

Training & Support

All Charity Ambassadors will receive training, resources, and guidance to help them feel confident in delivering presentations and representing the charity. This will include opportunities to shadow our services and gain a deeper understanding of the support we provide to older people.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in business development, corporate partnerships, account management, sales, CSR, philanthropy, or fundraising to use their skills to make a tangible difference in the lives of refugees.
You will play a key role in helping Plateful Café develop relationships with local and national businesses, generating support through corporate donations, sponsorship, employee volunteering, catering contracts, and long-term strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Engagement

• Identify and research prospective corporate partners aligned with Plateful Café's mission.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential supporters and business contacts.
• Introduce Plateful Café to local businesses, corporate foundations, and employers.
• Arrange introductory meetings and networking opportunities.
• Support the development of corporate partnership proposals and presentations.

Income Generation

• Help secure financial donations, sponsorships, and in-kind support.
• Identify opportunities for corporate grant funding and charitable giving programmes.
• Promote employee fundraising opportunities and workplace giving schemes.
• Explore sponsorship opportunities for training programmes, events, and community activities.

Catering and Enterprise Development

• Promote Plateful Café's corporate catering services to local businesses.
• Identify opportunities for meetings, events, lunches, conferences, and hospitality catering.
• Support the development of long-term catering relationships and repeat customers.
• Help position Plateful Café as a preferred socially responsible catering supplier.

Employee Volunteering and Skills Sharing

• Develop opportunities for corporate volunteering.
• Encourage businesses to provide mentoring, employability support, and workplace visits for our trainees.
• Build relationships that create pathways into employment for refugees completing our training programmes.

Strategic Support

• Provide advice on corporate engagement and relationship management.
• Help strengthen our corporate partnership strategy.
• Support impact reporting and stewardship of existing partners where required.

• Experience working in a corporate environment, business development, account management, sales, marketing, CSR, partnerships, fundraising, or a related field.

Help turn donated treasures into vital funds for our charity!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and trustworthy volunteer to support our online sales through Vinted and eBay. If you enjoy spotting valuable items, researching prices, taking photos or have an interest in online selling, this could be a rewarding role for you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help us raise extra funds by preparing and listing donated items for sale online.

Tasks may include:

• Identifying suitable donated items for online sale
• Preparing and presenting items for listing
• Taking clear, appealing photographs
• Researching pricing and helping value items
• Creating listings on Vinted and eBay
• Monitoring and assisting with online sales activity
• Packing sold items ready for posting
• Taking parcels to local drop-off points
• Helping maximise income from donated goods

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is trustworthy, reliable and enthusiastic
• Has good attention to detail
• Is comfortable using online platforms or willing to learn
• Enjoys researching and practical tasks
• Has an interest in online selling and fundraising
• Can work independently and use initiative
• Has experience with Vinted, eBay or similar selling platforms (beneficial, but not essential)

Time commitment

• Shifts are usually 10am–1pm or 1pm–4pm

Regular weekly volunteering preferred, with some flexibility available.

Quartet’s Board of Trustees helps set our strategic direction, provides leadership and support to our staff team, and makes sure the organisation is well governed. 

As a Trustee, you will work with other Board members to form an effective and accountable governing body. Together, Trustees provide leadership and support for the dedicated staff team delivering Quartet’s strategic plan.

The skills and experience we’re looking for

Trustees come from all walks of life, and we want our Board and wider organisation to reflect the diverse communities of the West of England. If you have never been a charity trustee or sat on a board before, please still consider applying or getting in touch to discuss the role.

Trustees are expected to attend four board meetings a year and are asked to join one of our four sub-committees which report to the board, each of which normally meets three or four times per year. There may also be occasional panel meetings, events, training and other opportunities to get involved.

Sooty, the nation’s much-loved bear and a true national treasure, has featured on RNIB’s collection boxes for over 50 years. Thanks to generous public support, these iconic boxes have raised more than £13 million in donations.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our network of Sooty Box collectors. In this flexible role, you’ll help place new boxes and collect and bank donations from Sooty Boxes in local shops, cafés and other businesses in your area. Whether you volunteer on your own, with a friend or as part of a group, you’ll be making a real difference in your community.

You can give as much or as little time as you like and fit the role around your other commitments.

Please note: Volunteers are expected to use their own transport and ideally should have access to a car. Mileage or public transport costs will be reimbursed.

Summary of Role

The Volunteer Director of Individual Giving at Solution Community plays a key role in strengthening Solution’s financial sustainability by developing, implementing, and managing strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors. This role is responsible for growing our annual giving program and building lasting relationships with our supporters, directly impacting our ability to achieve our mission. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to contribute their expertise and passion to a cause they believe in.

Key Responsibilities:

Annual Giving Program Management:

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual giving campaigns (e.g., year-end appeals, spring campaigns, monthly giving programs) across various channels (direct mail, email, social media, online).

• Set realistic fundraising goals for individual giving and track progress toward them.

• Analyze campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize impact.

• Identify opportunities to expand the donor base and increase donor retention rates.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

• Identify, research, and qualify prospective individual donors.

• Develop and implement personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies to engage donors at all levels.

• Oversee timely and meaningful donor acknowledgment and recognition.

• Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of key individual donors, building strong, lasting relationships.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM system

• Generate reports on donor acquisition, retention, gift size, and overall individual giving performance.

• Utilize data to inform strategies and identify trends.

Strategy and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Development team and other leaders to align individual giving strategies with the organization's overall goals and fundraising priorities.

• Identify and recommend best practices in individual giving and annual fund development.

• Potentially recruit, onboard, and manage a small team of volunteer fundraising support staff, if applicable.

• Represent the organization professionally and enthusiastically to donors and prospects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (7+ years preferred) in individual donor fundraising, annual giving, or a related development role.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing annual giving campaigns.

• Strong understanding of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with major donors, understand their motivations, and align their giving with our organizational mission.

• Experience developing and implementing successful major gift strategies, including setting goals, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies based on outcomes.

• Ability to craft compelling narratives that communicate the impact of Solution Community’s work and inspire philanthropic support.

• Ability to lead and inspire a team and work cross-functionally with other departments to achieve fundraising goals.

• Familiarity with ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace, and other digital tools for project management, communication, and scheduling.
