Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public.

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported. Activities include:

· Supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers

· Planning fundraising events and activities with your team

· Allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

· Keeping financial records from fundraising events

· Encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 

· Following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

You will develop new skills, expand your knowledge and make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens by helping raise funds and awareness through organising local events. You will also meet new people, make new friends and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers. You will be supported and guided from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

We're looking for someone with the following:

· Great people skills and the ability to bring out the best in others

· Excellent organisational skills

· The ability to prioritise and delegate

· An appreciation of the importance of handling money and charity resources responsibly

· Fine-tuned communication skills and a passion for engaging with people within your local community

· Basic IT skills to use Cats Protection systems - training and support can be provided

· Committee volunteers need to be aged 18+

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

The wellbeing of our people is important and at Cats Protection we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk and all those that we come into contact with as part of our activities.

Help adults in your community transform their lives through reading. As Local Fundraiser, you'll play a vital role in helping your local Read Easy group raise the funds needed to provide free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading.

Working as part of the group's Management Team and Board of Trustees, you'll help develop a fundraising plan, identify local funding opportunities and build relationships with businesses, community organisations and grant-making bodies. You'll write funding applications, coordinate fundraising activities where appropriate and help recognise and thank those who support the group. The Management Team meets approximately every 6–8 weeks to work together on the strategic direction of the group.

Previous fundraising experience is welcome but not essential. We're looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and proactive, with good communication skills and a willingness to seek out local funding opportunities. If you enjoy building relationships, writing, planning or organising, we'd love to hear from you.

The role is flexible, requires around three hours per month, and full training, resources and ongoing support from Read Easy UK are provided.

Support the work of St John Ambulance in your community by volunteering as a Fundraising Team Member, an exciting new role which is designed to revamp how volunteering looks in the modern world; flexible, innovative and is open for all.

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference, supporting them to become safe and more resilient. St John Ambulance is a charity, and our fundraising is vital in supporting our mission to place the power of first aid in everyone’s hands.

Through organising and supporting fundraising in your area, you will bring people along to our cause, growing our membership and fundraising base and spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives.

Across the UK, our 65 local branches work with disabled people to help them live the lives they choose. Our network of skilled volunteers respond to thousands of requests each year to design and make customised equipment free of charge.

Our volunteer Fundraisers use their organisational and people skills, as well as creativity and a sense of fun, to raise vital funds for their local branch.

What the role involves

This is a varied role that each branch can do a little differently, but it may include the following responsibilities, with potential for additional fundraising opportunities:

· Organising fundraising events big and small

· Identifying and helping to apply for local grants

As Aspire Oxfordshire approaches its 25th anniversary, we are looking for new Trustees to help shape the next chapter of our journey.

For almost 25 years, Aspire has supported people across Oxfordshire experiencing homelessness, poverty and disadvantage to build safer, healthier and more independent lives. Through supported accommodation, employment and training, homelessness prevention and personalised support, we help people create lasting change.

As a Trustee, you will provide strategic leadership, constructive challenge and oversight, working alongside fellow Trustees and our Executive Leadership Team to ensure Aspire remains well governed, financially sustainable and focused on delivering the greatest possible impact.

Charity Governance and Employment
Knowledge of the charity sector, governance, HR or employment law to support good governance and organisational development.

Experience of housing, homelessness, welfare benefits or housing policy to strengthen our understanding of the sector and the people we support.

Charity Finance and Risk Management
Experience in finance, accountancy, audit or risk management to support effective financial oversight and long-term sustainability.

As a Trustee you will:

• Ensure strong governance, compliance and financial sustainability.

• Act in the best interests of the charity and the people we support.

Time Commitment

The role is voluntary and designed to fit alongside professional and personal commitments.

Trustees will typically attend:

• Four hybrid Board meetings each year.
• Four online meetings each year as a member of one Board sub-committee.
• Occasional additional meetings or events where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be a member of the St John Priory Group in South & west Yorkshire and will be responsible for championing and informing the Group about the work of the Hospital and encouraging support. The role reports into the Chair in South & West Yorkshire and will have a close working relationship with the National Hospitaller who will provide additional support.

A County Fundraising Lead would be expected to support fundraising activity at Network Level providing expert guidance on fundraising activity and opportunity whilst leading County Level fundraising activity to bolster targets.

County Hospitallers are responsible for fundraising and advocacy for the St John Eye Hospital in Jerusalem

About us

ORCD UK is a new charity, the British arm of ORCD, a humanitarian organisation that has worked across Afghanistan for over a decade, delivering health, food, water, and emergency support. We are in our founding phase, building the fundraising that will let us support families facing one of the world's largest humanitarian crises.

The opportunity

We are looking for a volunteer with fundraising experience to help us execute our fundraising strategy over the next few months. We have a clear plan and a set of campaigns; what we need is for someone share their know-how as we get off the ground.

This is a flexible, online role of a few hours a week, ideal for an experienced fundraiser who wants to use their skills for something meaningful without a heavy time commitment. The National Flood Forum (NFF) supports and empowers people and communities at risk of flooding and helps those who flood to recover from the material and emotional trauma that flooding causes. With 24 years on the ground experience, we are the only national charity dedicated to supporting flood risk communities.

At the NFF, we give emotional and practical help and creating the right package of support for the long-term. Flooding can be a devastating experience with lasting economic, practical and emotional consequences and for many people the recovery process is as traumatic, or even more stressful, than the flood itself.

We pride ourselves on being there at every stage of the flood recovery process, working hand in hand with the people and communities we help. We also provide a powerful and independent voice for these communities, advocating for them with local and national government as well as the insurance industry and other corporate sectors.

We are seeking new Trustees to bring new insights, experience and skills to our Board. As a Trustee, you’ll help ensure the financial sustainability and governance of NFF.

As a Trustee you will have a commitment to supporting our values and approach to supporting communities at risk or who have flooded and you will advocate and be an ambassador for our work.

We’re especially interested in applications from you if you have:

· Experienced flooding or live with the threat of flooding.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Fundraising to lead and develop our fundraising strategy at a crucial time in Youth Advantage UK's growth. What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in fundraising, with a strong track record across digital campaigns, corporate partnerships and grant fundraising.
• Leadership experience in managing and developing fundraising teams or volunteers.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to think big and execute effectively in a resource-constrained environment.
• Hands-on experience in managing the day-to-day operations of fundraising campaigns while being able to step back and think at a strategic level.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders.
• A passion for the cause – a genuine belief in the mission of Youth Advantage UK and a commitment to making a difference.
• Familiarity with digital fundraising tools and social media platforms for promoting campaigns (desirable but not essential).

• Community Connectors - Collaborating with the Community Engagement Manager to establish a local network, promote SSAFA's services, and respond to community opportunities such as gardening projects.
• Fundraising Heroes - Whether it’s rallying local businesses, organising events, or getting creative with unique fundraising ideas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping SSAFA’s support going strong.
• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

The skills you need

• Be friendly and approachable.
• Confident to engage with the public, potential clients, volunteers and SSAFA colleagues face-to-face.
• Reliable attitude, staying connected with your Branch and/or Community Engagement Manager about your availability.
• Access to public transport or a car to get to events if necessary.
• Basic IT skills would be an advantage.
