ABOUT CHILDREN WITH VOICES
Children With Voices is a grassroots children's charity with over 25 years of experience supporting children and families across London. Based at Fawcett Estate Community Hall in Clapton, Hackney, we run a Community Food Hub, alternative education, SEN support, and community programmes including Jumping Beans. We have supported over 100,000 families and are recognised nationally for our work.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Behind every programme we run and every family we support, there is careful administration keeping everything in order. We are looking for a Volunteer Admin Coordinator to be that backbone — someone who takes ownership of the detail, keeps our systems running, and makes sure the rest of the team can focus on delivery.
This is an ideal role for someone who is highly organised, discreet, and takes real pride in getting things right.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-Day Administration
• Manage correspondence, scheduling, and general administrative tasks across the organisation
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and filing systems in line with GDPR and data protection requirements
• Support the preparation of reports, meeting notes, and key organisational documents
Operational Support
• Support the Operations Manager with administrative aspects of HR, finance, and governance
• Help coordinate onboarding for volunteers and new team members
• Track outputs, attendance, and impact data for monitoring and evaluation
Communications & Coordination
• Act as the first point of contact for internal queries — directing people quickly and clearly
• Maintain shared systems and tools so information is easy to find and act on
• Support communication between teams, leadership, and external partners
Governance & Compliance Support
• Help prepare materials for Trustee and leadership meetings
• Support safeguarding admin — DBS checks, consent forms, and record keeping
• Flag gaps in processes and help develop simple, workable solutions
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy — able to handle sensitive information with care
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident using digital tools and office systems (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
• Able to manage their own time and follow tasks through to completion
• A team player who also takes initiative when needed
• Committed to the values and mission of Children With Voices
This is a voluntary role with real responsibility. We need someone reliable and thorough who takes pride in the detail. You will be supporting a team that serves some of Hackney's most vulnerable children and families — and that matters enormously to us

COULD YOU BE SUNSHINE’S NEW CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES?
Help Us Build Something That Could Change Lives
At SUNSHINE, we believe nobody should have to face loneliness alone.
We’re creating a brand new start-up loneliness charity that will provide welcoming spaces where people can make friends, feel connected and discover that they belong.
But we can’t build it without strong, compassionate leadership.
We’re looking for a new Chair of the Board of Trustees — someone kind, steady, values‑driven and committed to helping guide SUNSHINE from an early idea into a trusted, impactful charity serving communities across London.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the governance, vision and future of a charity at its very beginning.
About the Volunteer Role: Chair of the Board of Trustees
As our new Chair, you will play a central role in establishing SUNSHINE’s governance, supporting our Founder & CEO, and ensuring that our mission — reducing loneliness and building human connection — is delivered with integrity, compassion and clarity.
As our board has limited Trustee experience, we need a Chair with previous Trustee experience.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing leadership to the Board and ensuring effective governance and board performance.
Supporting the Founder & CEO, as well as the board.
Helping establish SUNSHINE’s early strategy, policies and direction.
Ensuring the charity stays true to its mission and values.
Helping recruit and develop a small, committed Board of Trustees.
Acting as an ambassador for SUNSHINE as we begin to grow.
Bringing calm, clarity and compassion to decision‑making.
Even a few hours each month could help shape a charity that changes lives.
Why Join SUNSHINE?
Lead the governance of a brand-new charity from day one.
Help build an organisation dedicated to human connection and belonging.
Work closely with a passionate Founder & CEO.
Shape strategy, culture and long-term impact.
Join a small, values-led team who believe in kindness and community.
Make a meaningful difference to people experiencing loneliness.
Most importantly…
You’ll help ensure fewer people have to face loneliness alone.
A Personal Message From Our Founder
“I started SUNSHINE because I watched someone I love experience a loneliness that no one should ever have to endure.
That experience taught me something I’ll never forget: everyone deserves friendship, belonging and to feel seen.
SUNSHINE is my promise that we’ll create places where people feel welcomed, valued and connected — but I know I can’t build that future on my own.
I’m not looking for experts.
I’m looking for kind people who believe that together we can make a real difference.
If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you.”
— Scott

We are looking to recruit a Youth Programme Coordinator, for a minimum commitment of 6 months, to manage our Youth Programme. The Youth Programme works with young refugees and asylum seekers in the Epirus region of Northern Greece, providing them with a sense of community and experiences that they wouldn’t otherwise receive!
In this role, you would be coordinating the daily planning and delivery of activities for young refugees in the sites in which we're operating in the Epirus region of Northern Greece.
The programme usually consists of English classes, thematic and social and emotional learning workshops and excursions. The programme engages children between the ages of 8 and 16.
For this role, you would initially work as a Youth Programme team member so that you could develop an understanding of the programme, the people involved, and the organisation as a whole.
Your role would include:
Coordinating, delegating, and managing a team of 2-5 team members in the daily operations of the Youth Programme
Directly supervising and supporting team members, providing feedback to ensure the quality of the programme remains high
Delivering effective inductions to transfer key skills/knowledge to team members
Developing the current programme in coordination with the Education Manager and Youth Programme team members
Assessing the impact and effectiveness of the programme in line with its objectives
Planning and delivering effective and dynamic educational and outdoor activities, within a theme-based curriculum
Training new team members in appropriate behavioural management techniques
Capturing data and compiling evaluation reports on the programme
You should be able to:
Prioritise and delegate tasks effectively
Manage a wide range of tasks and intense workload effectively and efficiently
Manage individuals effectively to create a positive team environment in which shared problem solving is encouraged
Oversee the delivery of programme activities and the completion of vital administrative and logistical tasks
Be honest and transparent; be able to give and receive feedback in the most straightforward way
Communicate in English, both written and orally
Learn quickly, managing a wide-ranging and intense workload
Understand what is required to work and effectively communicate in complex and volatile contexts
Care for people: the interests of the people we work with should always be your first concern
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children specifically in the refugee context
Experience in leadership roles and have knowledge in how to effectively manage a team
Knowledge of pedagogical tools and programmes suitable to children in the refugee context
What do we offer?
A nurturing and collaborative working environment. We work hard to help our team members grow; investing in personal and professional development.
Accommodation in a shared house
Transportation to/from work
After completion of a three-month trial, if you commit long-term, a small monthly expenses refund
In certain periods of the year, demand is extremely high, and the shared houses might be full. If you have the means to pay for your own accommodation, please let us know. We would still be happy to host you if space is available. However, in a situation where the shared houses are full, this would allow us to offer an opportunity to someone that cannot afford to pay rent.
Looking for an internship?
If, because of your degree or for any other reason, you would like to have your period at Second Tree credited as an internship, just apply to the vacancy that you’re interested in and mention this. We have agreements with several universities across Europe, and in many other cases, these agreements can be developed on an ad hoc basis.
We challenge the biases that make us see refugees as “the other”. We change the way society perceives refugees, and refugees perceive society.

HR & VOLUNTEERING DIRECTOR WANTED
BUILD THE CULTURE. GROW THE SQUAD. SHAPE THE MOVEMENT.
URBAN YOUTH is a startup pop‑up youth work charity — raw, energetic, and built from pure passion. We’re creating high‑impact youth experiences that feel more like street culture and a street wear drop, than traditional youth work.
No red tape. No corporate vibes. Just community, creativity, and real opportunities for young people.
Now we need a HR & Volunteering Director who can help us build the backbone of this movement — the people, the systems, the culture, the squad.
This Role Is About People, Purpose, and Building Something From Scratch
Urban Youth is small but mighty. We’re a start-up, and we need someone who can help us turn our volunteer energy into a powerhouse team.
You’ll be the architect of our people strategy — designing how we recruit, onboard, support, and empower the passionate humans who make Urban Youth come alive.
This isn’t HR in a corporate office. This is HR in a startup youth movement. It’s messy, creative, exciting, and full of possibility.
What You’ll Build
You’ll help us create:
A volunteer recruitment pipeline that attracts talent, passion, and drive
Onboarding experiences that feel like joining a squad, not filling out forms
Systems and processes that keep us organised without killing our vibe
A culture where volunteers feel valued, connected, and part of something bigger
A community of people who show up because they believe in what we’re doing
You’ll be the person who helps us turn “we need help” into “we’ve built a team.”
Who You Are
If you’ve ever said, “Give me a mission and I’ll build the team to deliver it,” this is your moment.
Why Urban Youth?
Ready to shape the team that shapes the future?
Urban Youth needs you.

Interested in the International Development sector and want to gain some quality, office-based experience to add to your CV and help you get a foot in the door?
Keen to make a difference and gain experience as part of an award-winning charity with a global reach? We help young people in over 100 countries!
Passionate about education as a force for fighting youth unemployment worldwide?
Interested in entrepreneurship and start-ups, particularly as a method of fighting poverty?
A little bit about us:
Teach A Man To Fish is an international educational charity with one all-encompassing mission: to empower young people with the skills they need to succeed in school, work and life. We use our school-business model to guide young people and their teachers in the planning and setting up of student-led school businesses that are both educational and profitable. Since 2006, we have supported over 438,000 young people and trained 19,000 teachers through our programmes to set up school businesses which have generated more than $2,000,000 in income! In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting schools worldwide, we launched a new programme: the Enterprise Adventure, a free mobile app for teenagers who want to learn about business and have a positive impact on their community.

We are looking for one or two volunteers to support the work of our International Programmes team. Supporting with coordinating the review of School Enterprise Challenge, the Enterprise Adventure and the Trash To Cash Challenge submissions and sending feedback and certificates
Contributing to the Monitoring & Evaluation of the programmes through data analysis to inform donor reports and programme improvements
Gathering and analysing feedback from programme participants (for example through surveys and ‘user testing’ sessions on Zoom)

Join the Body & Soul team in our Children and Young People Programme to support young people from displaced communities.
Across the UK, migrants, refugees, and people seeking asylum are facing increasingly difficult conditions due to increased hostility, threats, fear, and an increasing sense of a lack of belonging. The growing anti-immigration rhetoric is creating fear and heightened challenges for our members from those communities, who are trying to rebuild their lives while dealing with isolation, uncertainty, trauma, and HIV.
In such times, it feels more important than ever to support these communities with a united approach. No one should feel unwelcomed, especially when they have endured repeated trauma, including but not limited to trafficking, war, and gender-based violence, alongside systematic injustice, poverty, insecure housing, racial discrimination, and stigma. Everyone should feel a strong sense of belonging, love, compassion, and community, and we hold that at our core.
Our Life Beyond program offers therapeutic and community support to those with these experiences who have or are affected by HIV. Grounded in a deep cultural understanding of the lived experiences of our diverse community, our program equips members with the resources and support needed to navigate the dual challenges of living with HIV and being displaced in the UK. We offer a safe, non-judgemental community that nurtures belonging, resilience building, and mental and physical wellbeing.
Acknowledging the importance of a whole-family approach and early intervention, we offer our Children and Young People program. Here, we support those from displaced communities and young people navigating the impact of intergenerational and racial trauma. We aim to create an inviting space that reinforces their skills and strengths, supporting them to navigate their lives with a strong sense of self-identity, resilience, connections, and a sense of belonging.
How do we do this?
We run a creative, community-based programme to support children and young people facing complex challenges, including mental and physical health, family transitions, marginalization, and social isolation. These sessions involve, but are not limited to, arts, drama, physical activities, music, and much more, to foster resilience, life skills, personal identity, and social connection, both in-person and online.
