About the position

The Video Editor will coordinate all video and podcast production activities, supporting the design and delivery of high-quality content across various platforms. This role provides flexibility and autonomy, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and edit diverse video content for social media, including documentaries, promos and highlight videos.

• Adhere to a clear and comprehensive system for content files and archives.

• Assist in post-production-related tasks as needed.

• Contribute to the creative process of production of videos, by sharing ideas and discussing themes and directions of projects 

• Prepare and edit footage to uphold brand style 

• Find scripts and other source materials for video and podcast projects.

• Maintain a clear and comprehensive system for content files and archives.

Our shops help raise lots of money for us. It’s always lovely chatting to our customers about the fabulous items we sell and telling them about the fantastic work that we do. We get lots of donations so you will be rolling up your sleeves in the back room where you will be receiving, sorting, steaming and pricing donations, it's always exciting when one of our volunteers spots a real gem. When people come in to donate items you will also be completing the Gift Aid forms that let their donations help us even more. It’s really important that our window and shop displays look appealing so people keep visiting our shops, so you'll be wielding a duster and vacuum as well as your imagination to make the shop look its best. It would be ideal if you could volunteer one shift a week, which is about four hours but we're also happy to have more flexible times. Read Easy UK provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, delivered through a dedicated network of local volunteer groups. Across the country, our volunteers are helping adults gain the skills and confidence to read, opening the door to new opportunities in work, family life and everyday independence.

To support the Information and Advice Team in delivering free, confidential and independent information and advice services within community settings across Plymouth.

The Information and Advice Community Volunteer will assist Information and Advice Community Caseworkers in delivering outreach information and advice services to  people aged 50+ across Plymouth, with a focus on reaching individuals who may face barriers to accessing support due to deprivation, social isolation, poor transport links, health inequalities or digital exclusion.

The role is community-based and involves assisting Information and Advice Community Caseworkers in the delivery of outreach information and advice services within community venues across Plymouth.

Main Duties

· Assist Information and Advice Community Caseworkers in the delivery of community outreach information and advice sessions across Plymouth.

· Welcome and assist individuals attending outreach sessions, helping to create a friendly, inclusive and supportive environment.

· Support Information and Advice Community Caseworkers with client registration, appointment booking, administration and session set-up as required.

· Provide basic information about Age UK Plymouth services and assist individuals to access appropriate support.

· Identify individuals who may benefit from further information and advice support and refer them to an Information and Advice Community Caseworker.

· Assist with the distribution of information materials, leaflets and promotional resources.

· Support Information and Advice Community Caseworkers to engage with older people who may be isolated or experience barriers to accessing services.

· Record basic information and service user feedback as required.

· Promote awareness of Age UK Plymouth services within local communities.

· Maintain confidentiality and comply with Age UK Plymouth policies and procedures at all times.

CIMSPA has been commissioned by Sport England to deliver this ambitious project over a three-year period (2026–2029). The aim is to ensure that everyone participating in sport and physical activity can enjoy safe, high-quality experiences, supported by a skilled and trusted workforce in a positive environment.

The success of this project depends on meaningful collaboration with the sector. This Advisory Board will play a critical role in shaping and supporting its delivery.

As an Advisory Board member, you will provide strategic insight, advice and guidance to CIMSPA, helping to shape the development and implementation of the workforce governance and registration scheme.

You will contribute to key decisions that will have a long-term impact on the sport and physical activity workforce and the organisations that oversee it.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Advisory Board will oversee three core workstreams:

• Ensuring sports are register-ready
• Developing the Registrar function to oversee accredited register holders
• Leading the digital development of a publicly searchable national register

Board members will also contribute to important decisions such as:

• Defining the level of scrutiny applied within the system
• Agreeing monitoring and governance processes
• Shaping and approving the Registrar’s identity, purpose, and structure

Over time, this Advisory Board is expected to evolve into the governing board of the appointed organisation responsible for overseeing the scheme (the Registrar).

Who we're looking for

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse skills, experiences, and perspectives, who are passionate about improving standards, governance, and public trust within sport and physical activity.

Our shops help raise lots of money for us. It’s always lovely chatting to our customers about the fabulous items we sell and telling them about the fantastic work that we do. As a volunteer you will get the chance to meet new people and make friends, plus be part of an amazing team of volunteers.

There’s so much for you to get stuck into when volunteering in our shops. We have several different positions available.

Stock Sorting Assistant: We get lots of donations so you will be rolling up your sleeves in the back room where you will be receiving, sorting, and pricing donations, predominantly Bric-a-Brac, Books and Clothes, it's always exciting when one of our volunteers spots a real gem.

Furniture Store Assistant: The role will also include assisting with moving furniture around the store, assembling & dismantling beds, and other flat packed furniture, and getting to express your creative side, by making attractive room displays.

It would be ideal if you could volunteer at least one shift a week, which is about four hours but we're also happy to have more flexible times.

No special skills are needed as we will show you what to do and will provide all the training you need. But if you have any experience or particular interest tell us, it may come in useful.
