Rays of Sunshine is looking for a reliable and organised Fundraising & Database Volunteer to support our busy Fundraising Team.

This would suit someone who is confident working with data and administration and who already has some experience of Salesforce.

The role will provide valuable hands-on experience within a national children’s charity, while helping us ensure that supporter and fundraising information is accurately recorded and maintained.

What you’ll be helping with

• Processing and coding fundraising income from banking and income reports into Salesforce.
• Updating supporter, donor and fundraising records accurately and consistently.
• Helping to allocate donations to the correct campaign, event, appeal or income stream.
• Supporting basic data checks and identifying missing or inconsistent information.
• Assisting with donation administration, supporter records and general fundraising administration.
• Helping maintain accurate information for fundraising reporting and reconciliation.
• Supporting the wider Fundraising Team with administrative tasks as required.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has practical, hands-on experience using Salesforce (essential)
• Is confident working with data and spreadsheets.
• Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Is organised, reliable and comfortable working independently.
• Has good general IT and administrative skills.
• Is interested in fundraising, charities or gaining further experience within the sector.
• Can ideally commit to 1–2 days per week, including time in our Finchley office.

Experience of fundraising administration, donation processing or working within a charity would be helpful, but is not essential.

What you’ll gain

The Ramblers are Britain's biggest and most vibrant walking community. The Area Secretary is a key member of the Sussex leadership team, working with the Chair to ensure the team runs smoothly including managing meeting logistics and communicating with Groups in the Area, as well as participating in decision-making by the team.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Working with the Area Chair to arrange quarterly leadership team meetings, including producing agendas and booking the venue
• Organising the Area AGM, and producing the Annual Report
• Making sure that accurate records of decisions at meetings are produced and circulated on a timely basis

By volunteering as Area Secretary you will be paying a vital role in making sure we can achieve this. Running an efficient Sussex Area Ramblers leadership team is critical to the effectiveness of our organisation, and is part of the overall Ramblers governance. The Area Secretary is a pivotal position on the leadership team and ensures that we meet our obligations efficiently and effectively .

The ideal candidate is likely to have a passion for walking and the outdoors and a familiarity with the activities of the Ramblers and of the Sussex Area. For almost 500 years, we've supported Southwark's communities. Now we're looking for two new Trustees to help shape our next chapter — including building on the legacy of Appleby Blue, our RIBA Stirling Prize-winning almshouse.

United St Saviour's Charity is a place-based community investor in Southwark, providing almshouses, grant-funding and community programmes that build resilience and connection across the borough. Over the last decade we've nearly doubled our housing provision and delivered Appleby Blue — a social housing development for older people that went on to win the RIBA Stirling Prize, the UK's most prestigious architecture award.

This role is for you if:

• You understand what effective governance looks like — strategic planning, risk management, and change management
• You have a strong lived or learned understanding of Southwark and its communities, including both local strengths and the barriers that affect opportunity and wellbeing
• You bring experience in one or more of: housing and property development, organisational governance, community development, or finance and accounting
• You're comfortable raising challenge and disagreeing constructively, while standing by decisions the Board reaches collectively

What you'll do

As a Trustee, you'll share collective responsibility for our governance, working alongside fellow Trustees and the Chair to hold the organisation to a clear strategy, ensure our assets and resources are used well You'll contribute your own skills and experience to strengthen the Board's decision-making, sit on at least one, and up to two, committees, and act as an ambassador for the charity's values and reputation.

You'll be joining at a pivotal moment: we're scaling up our housing development pipeline, delivering a new Community Investment Strategy for 2025–2030, and increasingly being asked to share what we've learned with other boroughs and housing providers as our national influence grows.

We're looking for people with experience in one or more of:

• Organisational development and governance — overseeing organisational development, governance, HR, or strategic oversight
• Community development — community work and wealth, charitable organisations, social investment, or grant-making
• Housing, land and property — housing, property development, planning, property management or property investment
• Finance and accounting — accounting, financial management, investment portfolios, and managing financial risk responsibly

You don't need all four — one or more is enough. Alongside that, we're looking for a strong lived or learned understanding of Southwark and the communities we serve, and a good level of IT literacy. No previous trustee or board experience is required.

Location and time commitment

Based in the London Borough of Southwark — Board and committee meetings take place at our offices and almshouses. This is a voluntary role (reasonable expenses met) requiring four Board meetings a year, a Strategy and Reflection Day, and membership of one to two committees, each typically meeting four times a year.

Mind In Enfield and Barnet combines over 50 years of experience to improve peoples mental health in Enfield, Barnet and beyond. We are led by lived experience and driven by a passion to support and protect people’s mental health in ways that they want.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Volunteer Meet and Greet to support the Therapy Team at Mind in Enfield and Barnet (MiEB). This role involves sitting at the reception desk and acting as a first point of contact, helping to create a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment for clients, visitors and staff. You will offer clear directional guidance, practical assistance and information about services and activities, helping people feel safe, comfortable and supported when they arrive. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with others and contributing to a positive, inclusive space for individuals accessing mental health services.

About the Organisation:

North Norfolk Foodbank is a charity supporting those facing poverty and hunger. We help people with food, essential toiletries, energy, and provide advice and signposting for further support. 

We operate 7 distribution centres across North Norfolk and Broadland, a warehouse and office in Cromer, and carry out deliveries and collections across a wide area of the district in our two electric vans. 

We were formed in 2012 and have 4 members of staff and around 84 volunteers.

We’re part of the Trussell network of foodbanks across the UK, but we’re an independent charity in our own right. Registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales. 

About the Role:

As a Trustee, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organisation towards fulfilling its mission, ensuring effective governance, and making a positive impact in the community.

About CARAS:

Community Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers (CARAS) is a charity that supports refugees and people seeking asylum who live in south London. We offer a range of individual and group support to improve the holistic wellbeing of people who have a background of forced migration, providing them with tools to build lives filled with value, meaning and purpose in the UK. Our activities for young people currently include: ESOL classes (English for Speakers of Other Languages), study group, youth club, swimming lessons and football.

About Youth Club:

Youth Club is a place for young people aged 14-19 to come and play games, learn new skills, make and strengthen friendships and build a sense of belonging. Regular activities include classic youth club games such as table tennis, pool, foosball, board and card games. We also work in partnership with a range of organisations to run a rich programme of workshops within our youth club. Some of these have included creative visual arts, drama, music and workshops on rights and entitlements of young asylum seekers. We also cook a hot meal from time to time and offer a range of snacks each week. Our casework team are also on-site to support young people with a range of advice and signposting needs, usually by-appointment.

Youth club takes place at Furzedown Youth Centre. Welham Rd, London SW16 6TJ

About the role:

As a Youth Club volunteer, you would be helping young people to feel welcome, join in with activities and be a great role model.

Youth Club takes place every Wednesday at 6.00-8.30pm. We ask for a commitment of at least 2 sessions per month for a minimum of 6 months.

Tasks and responsibilities:

· To attend and contribute to volunteer de-briefs which occur 15 minutes after each session.

· To act as a positive role model and set standards of behaviour when volunteering with young people.

· To encourage and inspire young people to reach their full potential.

· To assist young people to both recognise and celebrate their achievements.

· To challenge young peoples’ negative attitudes and behaviour in an appropriate manner.

· To adhere to CARAS Child Protection procedures, Confidentiality policy, Health & Safety policy, Equal Opportunities policy and all other policies as relevant.

Requirements:

To be 18 years or older;

· To be non-judgemental and able to engage with people from diverse cultural backgrounds;

· To be reliable and punctual;

· Excellent communication skills, especially with people with varying levels of English;

· The ability to volunteer on Wednesday evenings for a minimum of six months;

· Current resident of the UK;

· Able to provide five years’ worth of addresses, and willing to undergo a DBS check;

· Able to attend compulsory volunteer induction training (online) general and safeguarding prior to the start of role

Volunteer induction training currently takes place online once a month on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings from 6pm - 8pm. we offer the same trainings on Tuesday and Wednesday daytimes online between 12noon - 2pm once every 3 months.

Your availability to attend 1 general and 1 safeguarding online training session at these times within 3 months of your application would be a prerequisite of being accepted as a volunteer at CARAS.

Desirable:

· Knowledge of community languages, such as (including Arabic, Tigrinya, Amharic, Pashto, Dari, Farsi, Kurdish, Somali and Spanish).

Association Visitors offer emotional and informative support to those living with and affected by Motor
Neurone Disease (‘MND’) in their local communities by home visits, telephone and email support.

Tasks and activities̶

Offer support for someone living with/affected by MND in an inclusive manner – this may be
face-to-face, over the phone or online depending on personal preferences ̶

Signpost and provide relevant information which enables someone to access appropriate
support available to them - including through the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association ̶

Where possible, attend local development sessions with other volunteers and staff, such as
peer support meetings and other development events̶

Handle data, take notes and produce simple reports using our secure online systems to
communicate general updates with local teams – training is provided ̶

Adhere to the MND Association’s policies and procedures, including GDPR and safeguarding ̶

This role may require expensed travel within an agreed area depending on the local activities.̶

Time commitment is variable and depending on different factors including individual capacity
and the demand for this type of support in a specific local area at a given time

This role is recruited through our Safer Recruitment process, which means that it includes an interview,
two references, and a review process. A DBS or Access NI check is also required due to the nature of
the role, as appropriate.

Successful applicants will complete a structured induction and sign off process, involving completion of
e-learning and a classroom training pathway specific to the role.

Volunteers receive ongoing local support and development from their allocated Community Support
Coordinator (‘CSC’) – previously known as ‘ASC’.
