What You’ll Do
As our Employability Programme Manager, you will:

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donation and financial data across finance and reporting systems.
- Support regular data checks between payment platforms, CRM systems, and accounting software to ensure consistency.
- Assist with generating basic donation, income, and trend reports for internal use.
- Identify missing data, inconsistencies, duplicate entries, or anomalies and report them clearly to the Lead Financial Accountant.
- Support the preparation of internal finance dashboards, summaries, and structured data outputs.
- Maintain organised and well-structured digital records in line with CIC data governance and documentation standards.
- Follow established processes for data entry, validation, and version control.
- Work under the guidance of the Lead Financial Accountant to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Handle all financial data with confidentiality, care, and ethical responsibility.
You must:
- Be aligned with the CIC’s mission, values, and ethical, anti-capitalist stance.
- Be willing to commit at a founding level during the unpaid build phase of the organisation.
- Be comfortable working with evolving or incomplete financial and data systems and helping to build structure, clarity, and reliable processes.
- Be able to work responsibly with sensitive financial, donor, and operational data.
- Be comfortable collaborating across multiple teams, including Finance, Operations, Fundraising, and Leadership.

Trustee and Treasurer
Rainbow Migration, the longest-running UK charity dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is seeking a trustee who will also serve as the organisation’s Treasurer.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about our vision that LGBTQI+ people can settle in the UK and lead fulfilling lives, and our mission to support LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and influence policy and practice.

The role of trustees and the Treasurer
Being a trustee is a rewarding role. Trustees are volunteers who bring their expertise to shape our strategy and direction, and help ensure we remain an authoritative organisation on LGBTQI+ asylum and immigration. They have overall legal responsibility for the charity, make sure our finances and resources are well used to implement our mission, and are required to participate fully in the governance of the charity. Trustees also play a role as ambassadors for the organisation and our work.
The Treasurer takes a lead role in ensuring Rainbow Migration’s financial affairs are conducted within legal requirements, accounting conventions and good practice to ensure the financial viability and sustainable development of the organisation. Time commitment
We are looking for people who can commit to being a trustee for at least three years.
Trustees meet on a weekday evening five times per year. Meetings are usually held on Zoom except in December when we meet in person in London.
Preparation for the meetings involves a time commitment of two to four hours for detailed reading of papers, which are provided several days in advance.
The Treasurer also chairs the Finance Subcommittee, which meets on a weekday evening at the end of each quarter. The present Treasurer prepares the primary financial statements and notes, from the underlying accounting records at the year-end, for inclusion in the Annual Report and Accounts; the successful candidate will need to decide whether to continue with this approach or if there is a suitable alternative.
Key responsibilities
Financial oversight:
- Support the Trustee Board to maintain a clear and timely picture of the financial health of the organisation
- Ensure the Trustee Board and management team fulfil all required fiduciary and regulatory responsibilities
- Keep up to date on developments in charity finance regulations and best practice
- Chair the Finance Subcommittee to oversee Rainbow Migration’s financial management, ensuring robust processes and controls are in place
- Ensure the committee develops a long-term financial strategy (including a reserves policy) for the organisation, with objectives which can be monitored
- Advise the Board on financial strategy, risk management and resource allocation
- Support the Executive Director and Operations and Office Manager to develop and improve financial policies and procedures
- Work with the Executive Director, Operations and Office Manager and Fundraising Manager to monitor budgets, cash flow and financial performance
- Oversee the production of clear and accessible financial reports to the Board and its sub-committees by Rainbow Migration staff, and lead discussions during meetings
Reporting:
- Ensure regular financial reports (i.e. management accounts, annual budgets, cash flow projections, etc) are accurate, comprehensible, timely, correctly formatted, and properly discussed and understood by the Trustee Board (as required by law)
- Ensure the timely preparation of annual accounts in accordance with charity regulations (UK SORP)
- Oversee the appointment of the Independent Examiner or auditors and provide overall oversight of the annual examination or audit process
Systems and controls:
- Ensure the charity has proper systems in place for budgeting, financial control, insurance, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with all HMRC tax requirements, as appropriate

What will I be doing?
- Travelling with designated van drivers to deliver and collect food
- Representing FareShare in a courteous and professional manner at all times
- Supporting drivers to carry out routine checks on the vans, taking responsibility for the vans throughout the day and reporting accidents or damage to the van or other vehicles
- Supporting drivers to complete all relevant paperwork
- Planning routes, sorting food, picking orders, loading and unloading vans
- Assisting with maintenance of the vans including cleaning
What we need you to be:
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Good at map reading and/or able to use a Sat Nav system

Overview
The Social Supermarket Initiative (SSI) is a community-led social enterprise tackling food insecurity and promoting sustainable community growth through our affordable supermarket model, outreach programmes, and ethical partnerships. Key Responsibilities

FareShare Greater Manchester is looking for volunteer Driver's Assistants to join our busy friendly delivery team with redistributing tonnes of surplus food a month to charities and community initiatives across Greater Manchester.
FareShare is a national charity fighting food poverty and global warming by tackling food surplus. We source overstocked food from retailers and manufacturers and engage many volunteers to help re-distribute it to over 220 frontline charities and community groups across Greater Manchester. These groups, in turn, provide meals to vulnerable people experiencing food poverty, individuals who are homeless, families, and people who are unemployed or socially isolated. This food would otherwise have gone to waste, so we are simultaneously supporting people in need and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Key responsibilities
Working closely with the driver of a temperature-controlled 3.5 tonne Mercedes Sprinter van to deliver surplus food orders to the premises of the benevolent projects we support.
Loading and unloading the vehicle and carrying out a range of tasks, from basic vehicle checks to delivery administration.

The Role
We currently have a Board of 7 Trustees that supports the Chief Executive and Leadership Team in the development and implementation of its Strategic Plan and the governance of the charity. The Board is currently reviewing whether the current governance structure requires some development as the charity continues to grow.
The Executive Assistant to the Board is a new post to assist the smooth operation of the governance of the charity, in particular with the running of Board meetings.
Working remotely, you will assist the Chair and Chief Executive by organising hybrid and remote Board meetings, ensuring agendas are accurate and clear and distributed in a timely manner, confirming attendance, attending meetings remotely and providing summary minutes for approval.
Presently, there are 2 remote Board meetings each year, which last up to 2 hours and an away half day in London, which is a hybrid meeting. It is likely that the number of meetings will increase to in the region of 5 a year.
You will be able to attend all these meetings remotely, although you will be encouraged to join the away half day meeting, but this will not be mandatory, and your travel and subsistence expenses will be paid.
As the Board embarks on a governance review, you will be given the opportunity to contribute your experience and thoughts to this process and assist the Chair with future Trustee recruitment.
It is envisaged that in addition to attendance of Board meetings, there will be an annual time requirement in the region of 20 to 30 hours a year, managed in your own time.

The AkiOke vision is to provide a fun and inclusive social environment for attendees to explore music, build confidence, and connect with others by singing.

JOB FUNCTION
The post-holder will co-lead on the setup and delivery of AkiOke, a grassroots music and karaoke club. This joyful and inclusive weekly music-based social group is for adults with mild learning difficulties. You will work closely with a young adult with lived experience, who initiated the project and serves as its creative lead.

FareShare Merseyside redistributes quality surplus food to over 232 community-based organisations who are working with vulnerable people across the region and parts of North Wales. What is a Warehouse Assistant?
As a WA, you would sort the food that we receive from our food partners and pick daily orders for charities. It’s a great way to keep fit and all you need is a sturdy pair of hands!
What will I be doing?
- Working as part of a team to manually sort and store large deliveries of surplus food
- Helping to assemble the daily deliveries of food for local charities and community groups
- Making sure the food is within use by dates and handled safely
- You may also be asked to contact our charity members to talk through the food we have available to create their weekly food order
What we need you to be:
- Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to record quantities and types of food
- Work well as part of a team
- Happy to complete tasks independently according to instruction
- Adaptable – managing surplus can be unpredictable so day to day tasks can vary
- Positive, friendly, and enthusiastic about tackling food waste and food poverty
