Influential Stars is a purpose driven platform connecting creators, supporters, and causes through exclusive experiences and campaigns that raise funds for UK charitable organisations. We are a growing team committed to delivering meaningful impact through professionally managed experiences.

Our Story

Influential Stars was founded by Lisa Connell, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour and has spent many years raising awareness and support for UK causes. The platform was created from a deeply personal belief that influence, connection, and community can be powerful forces for good when brought together in the right way.

Volunteers play a vital role in helping turn that vision into real world impact, enabling experiences that raise funds, create joy for winners, and support charitable organisations across the UK.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and proactive Volunteer Events Coordinator to manage activity experiences awarded to campaign winners and support the development of new partnerships.

This is a key operational role ensuring experiences run smoothly from planning through to completion, while also helping to secure activity sponsors for monthly charitable campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage activity bookings for campaign winners through partner providers

• Liaise directly with creators and winners to arrange meet and greet experiences

• Collect availability from winners for experiences booked on their behalf

• Confirm bookings, manage logistics, and communicate details clearly to all parties

• Send reminders and follow ups to ensure experiences proceed as planned

• Support post event engagement, including encouraging appropriate social sharing

• Build and maintain strong relationships with activity providers

• Proactively identify, approach, and secure activity providers willing to sponsor experiences for monthly charitable prize draws (ideally one per month)

• Assist in developing long term partnerships with activity sponsors and collaborators

• Organise security arrangements when required through approved security partners

• Maintain accurate records of bookings, communications, and outcomes using our CRM management system. Experience using a CRM or similar database is required. We currently use HubSpot, which would be advantageous, although not essential as training will be provided.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Proven experience in event coordination, event management, or a similar role

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Proactive, resourceful, and confident in outreach and relationship building

• Professional, reliable, and solution focused

Desirable:

• Experience securing sponsorships or partnerships

• Experience working remotely within a team

• Interest in charitable or social impact work

• Based in London or Hertfordshire for occasional in person meetings (not essential)

Working Arrangement

• Fully remote position

• Flexible working hours with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week

• No travel required. However, if you choose to meet with potential or existing partners in person, reasonable travel costs will be covered where possible.

• Occasional (optional) in person team meetings

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. While we are unable to provide a timeframe and future opportunities will depend on the organisation’s growth and incoming work, this role offers the chance to be part of that journey from an early stage.

Volunteering in the shop

Our gorgeous shop in historic Windsor has been at the heart of the community since the early 1990’s (it’s truly vintage!) and has in recent years been transformed into a bespoke Mary’s Living & Giving store. 

Our Windsor Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

Volunteers needed - Misogyny-Free Schools (MFS)
Help shape a new, parent-powered movement for positive change in primary schools

MFS supports parents/carers and schools to take early, constructive action to prevent harmful gender norms and misogyny, by building parent networks, supporting school engagement, creating practical resources, and amplifying real stories of change. 

We’re looking for 4 volunteers to help shape and grow the movement from the ground up. See the roles below.

1: Community & Communications Lead

Purpose of role: You will create and guide a Whatsapp community for parents, raise the profile and manage MFS’s voice online through storytelling and social media
Skills/experience helpful: Communications, campaigns, community organising, digital engagement, social media including analytics and metrics, compelling writing, storytelling, content creation, canva (or other tools)
What you’ll do: Build and moderate the parent WhatsApp community, develop and deliver communications strategy, shape narrative, tone, voice and messaging, help grow an engaged parent network

2: Web & Digital Builder (short term)

Purpose of role: You will co-design and build the MFS website including the parent and school resource hub
Skills/experience helpful: Web design, no-code platforms (e.g. Squarespace/Wix), UX, digital project setup, website performance tracking, knowledge of GDPR and data protection regulations
What you’ll do: Create an impactful and easily navigable website for parents and schools, organise information and link resources, support the digital infrastructure of the campaign, train up team members to add and adapt content

3: Education Specialist

Purpose of role: You will create tools and support the MFS community on engagement with schools and LEAs
Skills/experience helpful: Education, safeguarding, creating tools, curriculum, school engagement, education policy, experience with LEAs, trusts, ofsted etc
What you’ll do: Identify and curate age-appropriate resources, shape school-facing content, support parents outreach to primary schools, ensure approaches are constructive, supportive and practical

4: Research & Policy

Purpose of role: You will build our evidence base, translate research and policy into accessible insights and actions, position MFS as a credible, evidence-led voice
Skills/experience helpful: Equality, safeguarding, wellbeing, or education policy, ability to synthesize and translate complex research and policy into accessible language
What you’ll do: Build and maintain MFS evidence base, track key UK research and policy developments and produce accessible briefings, inform campaign and strategy with evidence and policy insight

Time commitment: Flexible and realistic (anything upwards of 2 hours / week)

Location: Fully remote (great if we can occasionally meet in person)

Type: Voluntary / unpaid

Style: Collaborative, supportive, values-driven

You: A big fan of equality and human rights, self-motivated, organised, creative and solution-oriented

Selling womenswear, menswear, shoes, and bags to household goods, our shops can be found in the London villages and bring in vital funds for Save the Children.

We’re looking for a Treasurer to provide financial leadership to our charity that supports the VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) sector in Wakefield District through high-impact contracts and grant making.

Nova is a charity that works with charities, community groups and social enterprises to help them thrive and continue their important work across the District. We do this by:

• Providing free specialist support on development and growth
• Ensuring the VCSE sector has a voice in decision-making
• Securing resources and funding for the VCSE sector

We have several opportunities open to join our Board of Trustees, including a Treasurer.

The Treasurer works closely with the Board, CEO, Finance Manager, and accountant to ensure our organisation’s finances are well-managed, transparent, and aligned with strategic goals. This involves:

• Guiding financial decisions
• Helping the Board understand and act on financial information
• Contributing to planning for the future, including budgets, reserves and exploring new incomes streams and enterprising approaches to strengthen Nova’s financial resilience

While previous experience as a Treasurer or Trustee is welcomed, it’s not essential. What matters most is commitment to Nova’s values, financial integrity, and supporting the VCSE sector.

As a trustee, you’ll have:

• An induction, training and reimbursable expenses
• Professional development with new skills and experience
• Influence to shape innovative projects
• Opportunity to make a difference to hundreds of organisations facing challenging times
• Chance to make new connections and learn about the local VCSE sector

Monday Opportunity! 9.30am-1pm

We are currently looking to build a Monday morning team 9.30m-1pm. Initial training will be provided in store by the brilliant volunteer team during existing trading hours, Tuesday - Saturday and once we have a Monday Team in place we’ll start welcoming in customers!

Sunday Opportunity! 10am-2pm

Do you have some free time on a Sunday? We are looking to build a Sunday team to help open and run the Sunday shift. Initial training will be provided in store by the brilliant volunteer team during existing trading hours, Tuesday - Saturday, and once we have a Sunday Team in place we’ll start welcoming in customers!

Skills and experiences we seek

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. You don’t need any retail or shop experience as full training will be provided. What’s important to us is that you are a team player, open to learning and to follow our policies as well as be an excellent representative for Save the Children. 

We know that our shop teams are stronger when they are inclusive and representative of their communities. Everybody can make a real difference. People come to us for all sorts of reasons, from all backgrounds, and we will do what we can to find a role that works for you.

What happens next?

After you’ve filled in an application, we will invite you for an informal trial shift. It’s a great opportunity to visit the shop, meet some of our existing volunteers and have a go at some of the tasks that you would be supporting with as a shop volunteer. Hopefully allowing you to get a feel for the role and make sure it’s for you. We also ask for a couple of references (these don’t have to be formal workplace ones, just someone who has known you for over 6 months and isn’t related).

Are  you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families experiencing poverty in our community?  Bromley Brighter Beginnings invites you to join us as a Family Liaison Volunteer - a vital role at the heart of our charity.

As a Family Liaison Volunteer, you'll play a key part in ensuring families receive the essential items they need.  With support from our Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for liaising with referrers and families to understand their specific needs and coordinating the collection and delivery of items.  Items are provided by our generous local supporters through posts you'll put out on our Facebook page.

You'll receive an induction, training and ongoing support to ensure safe and rewarding volunteering.  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people and wants to see the direct impact of their work in the community.  By joining our team, you'll bring hope and brighter beginnings to the families who need it most in the London Borough of Bromley.

Community and Fundraising Volunteers play a vital role in raising funds and awareness to support mums experiencing perinatal mental health challenges. This is a friendly, hands-on role where you’ll help plan, prepare, and deliver fundraising and community engagement activities. From supporting events and running stalls to chatting with supporters and sharing information about MumsAid’s services, you’ll be an important part of a welcoming and supportive team. 

No previous experience is required — just enthusiasm, reliability, and a genuine desire to support mums and their families. 

What will you be doing? 

• Supporting the planning and delivery of fundraising and community events, such as charity stalls, coffee mornings, sponsored activities, and awareness days. 

• Helping to create a lively, positive, and welcoming atmosphere at MumsAid events. 

• Engaging with members of the public, supporters, and participants, celebrating their involvement and encouraging donations. 

• Talking to people about MumsAid’s work and signposting to support where appropriate. 

• Assisting with event set-up and pack-down to ensure everything runs smoothly. 

• Handling cash and card donations responsibly, in line with MumsAid procedures. 

• Helping to raise awareness of perinatal mental health and the importance of early support. 

• Being part of a team that helps make MumsAid events inspiring, inclusive, and memorable. 

• Following MumsAid’s policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding, to ensure events run smoothly.
