As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!
You can expect us to

You’ll be:
· help set up and/or man stalls at events
· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections
· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances
· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events
Time expectation
This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.
We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

We are looking for an Events Assistant who can help us organise monthly community dinners featuring three course meals from around the globe to enable the charity to engage with and attract donors. We require help with running the dinner on the day with tasks including welcoming the guests, serving food and drinks, take payments, setting up and clearing, etc.
You will be working as part of a team to plan and organise other events and fundraisers throughout the year, for example refugee week. Would you like to help East Ayrshire Women’s Aid improve the lives of women, children and young people who experience domestic abuse in East Ayrshire? This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team delivering vital support to vulnerable women, children and young people in East Ayrshire. You do not need to know everything there is to know about domestic abuse, but they do need to know that you are reliable and committed to our principles and values.
The position is voluntary, but East Ayrshire Women’s Aid will provide you with training and support and pay your expenses. The Board meets at least six times a year, usually on Saturday mornings.

Job Purpose:
To identify, locate, and verify legitimate, available contact pathways for individuals identified by the Story Intelligence Team, enabling the Outreach Team to make timely, appropriate, and ethical first contact.
This role exists to bridge the gap between “story identification” and “human connection” by ensuring that every potential guest or storyteller can be reached through accurate, professional, and consent-respecting communication channels.
The specialist is responsible for systematically mapping how identified individuals present themselves publicly—across media appearances, social platforms, organisational affiliations, speaking engagements, publications, and advocacy work—in order to determine the safest and most appropriate route for initial outreach.

The role:

Work closely with the Fundraising Lead to create effective fundraising campaigns through newsletters, social media, flyers, events and our website.
Liaise with the other team leads via a group chat and occasional team meetings, staying up to date with changes across the charity and providing input from the Comms Team
