Prison-based volunteers are the backbone of Fine Cell Work (FCW). Supported by the Fine Cell Work programmes team and by other staff at the FCW office, they teach and administer FCW stitching groups in prisons.
Prison volunteers work in teams to organise classes and teach our stitchers, as well as providing groups information to the prison and to the FCW office. The precise mix of skills will vary from prison to prison.
Volunteering in prison for Fine Cell Work requires ideally a good level of needlework skill (or a willingness to learn), some teaching experience and/or experience of working with socially-excluded groups. Volunteers must be patient and non-judgemental in order to work effectively. As a prison volunteer you will:
It is essential for volunteers to support FCW ethos, believe in rehabilitation, be an excellent teamworker, observe personal boundaries, be reliable and patient to ensure cell groups run smoothly, and have record-keeping skills and have at knowledge of tapestry/needlework. .
Volunteers work in prisons around the UK dependant on where groups are based, therefore it is requred that volunteers will be able to travel to the relevant prisons. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by the charity.

In this role you will help to recruit Trustees, Committee Members, activity leaders and other volunteers to build and maintain a robust infrastructure around our current team members enabling the organisation to grow and prosper.
Volunteers are a critical part of the Charity’s foundation, providing the organisation’s services and supporting the fundraising goals. The Volunteer & Recruitment Manager role is to recruit, maintain and manage the Charity’s volunteers as well as raising awareness of volunteer opportunities within the community through various engagement initiatives.
You will help develop and grow our team by increasing the number of volunteers, meeting internal demand and enabling growth in new areas.

Your input is key to the day to day running of CAG as well as securing its future. We want you to help us find the right people to fill roles such as Treasurer, Program Manager, Secretary as well as recruiting new Leaders to help run our weekly activities and to take our members on exciting weekends away. You will be helping us build a team of volunteers who can support both the administrative side of CAG as well as those running our termly program. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of CAG and you will play a crucial part in keeping that heart beating.

To support delivery of the E‑Save app, you’ll help recruit, support and coordinate our growing UK‑based volunteer community. You’ll provide administrative oversight for current volunteers, support ongoing recruitment, and help develop volunteer and HR processes.
Over time, you’ll contribute to policies, engagement programmes, crowd‑sourcing initiatives, and local pilot volunteers.

We’re looking for UK‑based volunteers with experience in HR, volunteer management, or people operations. You’ll help lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding and training; develop HR and volunteer policies; support engagement and wellbeing; and maintain confidential records.
You’ll need strong organisational and interpersonal skills, knowledge of safeguarding and data protection, and the ability to support a diverse, remote volunteer team.

About the role
We are looking for Volunteer Coordinator to manage our Volunteer Programme.This is a voluntary position.
You’ll help us recruit and support our volunteers who do an amazing job supporting our members in our clubs.
What you’ll do:
Lead and coordinate CASPA’s volunteer programme. This includes recruitment and onboarding of volunteers.
Support volunteers and managers throughout the volunteering cycle.
Ensure all checks, training, and compliance requirements are completed
Maintain accurate volunteer records and HR systems
Act as the main point of contact for volunteer queries and support
Promote a positive and engaging volunteer experience across CASPA
Salary Band: Voluntary
Reports to: CEO
Working Pattern:2-4 hours per week can be flexible
Location: Oakley House, Bromley (Mondays or Tuesdays) or work from home.
