• Location: Remote (with optional attendance to capture content at our lively inner-London pop-ups)

London is one of the most electric, fast-paced cities on Earth. Yet underneath the noise, it is facing a quiet crisis. In boroughs like Tower Hamlets, nearly 40% of our neighbors report feeling chronically lonely and isolated. For many, urban isolation is a heavy, daily reality.

We are SUNSHINE, and we are here to smash that isolation with pure, unadulterated, radical positivity!

We don't do boring, clinical forms or awkward networking. Instead, we take over public parks, un-used spaces and high streets with high-vibrancy pop-ups—bringing bright neon t-shirts, upbeat music, handmade positive quote cards, and literal bubble machines directly to the pavement to turn strangers into neighbours.

Our operations are locked, our volunteer pipeline is ready, and our pilots are set. Now, we need our storyteller. We need a creative, visually minded, and highly driven Marketing & Communications Manager to amplify our voice, build our digital footprint, and paint London yellow!

Your Mission: What You’ll Do

As our founding Marketing Lead, you will sit on our core Founding Committee, guiding a small task force of 3–4 creative volunteers (graphic designers and video editors) to manage SUNSHINE’s public presence.

You will work to:

• Own the Story: Take our pre-written 30-day social media content calendar and bring it to life across Instagram, X (Twitter), and TikTok using free automation schedulers (like Buffer or Later).
• Guard the Vibe: Coordinate with our volunteer graphic designers to ensure all templates, quote cards, and digital assets match our signature high-vibrancy brand identity.
• Drive Engagement: Write punchy, encouraging copy that inspires lonely residents to take the brave step of showing up to our socials, and motivates local creatives to join our behind-the-scenes squad.
• Animate the Grid: Turn raw photos and smartphone footage captured by our frontline team at the "Sunshine Benches" into joyful Reels, TikToks, and posts that showcase our real-world impact.

Who You Are (The Perfect Fit)

You do not need a senior corporate director marketing degree.

We are looking for a human who is:

• A Creative Storyteller: You understand social media aesthetics. You know how to make digital content feel urgent, warm, inspiring, and visually engaging.
• An Organised Coordinator: You are comfortable leading a small micro-team of 3–4 creative volunteers, delegating tasks smoothly, and keeping asset production on schedule.
• A Smartphone & Canva Native: You know your way around Instagram Reels, TikTok formatting, and basic Canva layouts, and you love using digital tools to build communities.
• Empathetic & Purpose-Driven: You deeply believe in the power of words and visuals to dismantle the "loneliness stigma" and want to use your creative skills for good.

Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, through a network of volunteer groups. Read Easy groups are changing the lives of individual adults across the country by providing them with the support they need to learn to read, and in turn opening doors for them to all sorts of new opportunities in life. You will be helping your local community understand what a Read Easy group does; how local people can get the reading support they need; and how volunteers can help. There are two distinct forms of publicity, one requiring raising awareness by giving talks, putting up posters and talking to people generally about Read Easy. The second is using social media effectively to raise awareness and publicise your group. This roleis commonly supported by other members of 
the team, with specific skills to offer.

What you will be doing 
● Liaising with the Management Team to decide on the group’s publicity needs.
● Creating content for your group’s page on the Read Easy website.
● Being instrumental in raising awareness by giving talks, putting up posters and talking to people generally about Read Easy.
● Setting up and/or maintaining the group’s Facebook page, Twitter and/or other social media platforms to raise your group’s profile.
● Becoming familiar with the resources available to you on the Read Easy website.
● Organising the printing and placement of posters, leaflets, and other publicity materials.
● Identifying any specific opportunities for publicity in the local media.
● Ensuring that you have written permission from all parties to use any such material for the purposes you intend. 
● Providing stories and photographs for the Read Easy UK website and newsletter about your group’s activities and achievements. 
● Following ‘Read Easy Brand Guidelines’ to preserve a clearly recognisable and consistent Read Easy identity.
● Attending Management Team meetings, typically every six to eight weeks.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive App Promotion & Growth Volunteer to help introduce Cystar to more people living with PMOS (previously PCOS/PCOD).

As an early-stage health-tech startup, growing our user community is a key priority. You’ll help spread awareness of Cystar, identify opportunities to promote the app, and support grassroots marketing efforts that encourage people to download, test, and share the platform.

We are looking for team members who can commit for a minimum of 10 weeks, with adaptable profiles and who have the enthusiasm and energy we need to provide support in various areas across the organisation.

In this generalist role, you will find yourself responsible for a variety of tasks, helping to ensure that both our programme activities and day-to-day operations run smoothly. Second Tree works in a transparent way, in a challenging and changeable situation in the field; therefore, an ability to learn quickly and be open to feedback is vital. 

Your role would include:

The possible tasks included below are not exhaustive or rigidly defined; an exact role profile is dependent on the skill set of individual applicants. An average day might see you talking to students in a camp to tell them about a new class, or supporting the writing of a grant proposal. Tasks could loosely fall within 4 key areas:

Programmes

• Supporting programme coordinators in maintaining the day to day running of their activities with the Youth or Adult Education Programmes

• Supporting our children’s teachers or workshop facilitators in the planning or delivery of classes or excursions outside of camps

• Communicating key messages about our programmes to our students in camps

Admin, Finance & Logistics

• Supporting our management team in liaising with external partners

• Maintaining organisation-wide financial processes

• Coordinating the arrival and housing of incoming team members

Grants & Partnerships

• Supporting in the identification of relevant grants

• Supporting in grant writing activities

 Communications & Fundraising

• Contributing to the written/visual content of Second Tree’s social media output

• Developing social media strategies to expand our reach and impact

• Producing regular reports on performance

• Maintaining our website

• Supporting the planning and implementation of Second Tree’s fundraising initiatives, such as campaigns

• Organising and maintaining regular communications with Second Tree’s donors (newsletters, thank you letters)

You should be able to:

• Be accountable and efficient, making sure that tasks that you take up are completed on the agreed timeframe

• Be honest and transparent, being able to give and receive feedback in the most straightforward way possible

• Care for people; the interests of the people we work with should always be your first concern

About The Role
Our Campaigns and Storytelling Volunteers play a key role in how Doncaster Mind communicates its work, shares impact and connects people with support.

Through campaigns, digital content and storytelling, you will help us raise awareness of mental health, promote early support, and highlight the services available through Doncaster Mind, including prevention work, community services and our Rise Therapy service.

This flexible volunteer role can be carried out remotely from home, with a minimum commitment of just two hours per week, making it easy to fit around work, study or other commitments.

The role is suitable for people who want to apply existing communications skills in a meaningful setting, as well as those looking to build experience and develop a portfolio in campaigns, content and storytelling.

What You’ll Do
You’ll support a range of communications and campaign activities, which may include:

• Creating social media posts and digital content

• Writing or adapting copy for different audiences

Volunteers are an integral part of Human Appeal’s success. They are the ones that create real change for those most in need. This is your chance to meet new people, gain new skills and experience and have fun whilst being part of a great cause.​ We are looking for a engagement intern to assist the fundraising and engagement team in developing events, project management and admin support..

Main tasks:

• Administrative tasks such as collating data, contacting signups for pledges, various challenges, deployments and events.

Learning & Development​:

To enable you to take part in this opportunity Human Appeal will provide:

1. This is an unpaid position but we will pay for your “out of pocket” expenses in line with Human Appeal’s volunteer expenses policy
2. A detailed induction and training, providing all the information and skills needed

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

There are currently four Committees that report directly to the Board of Trustees, one of them is the Safeguarding Committee, of which you will be a member.

The Safeguarding Committee provides assurance, advice, and recommendations to the Board on safeguarding matters.

The Committee provides strategic leadership, ownership and oversight of The Scout Association (TSA)’s safeguarding policies and procedures, and ensures that safeguarding policies, procedures and practice remain fit for purpose and sector leading in protecting young people in Scouting.

The Committee also provides strategic oversight, challenge and assurance in relation to TSA’s safeguarding arrangements, including the safeguarding of adults where relevant.

The Independent Member aged 18-24 brings a young adult perspective to Committee discussions and helps ensure that the experiences, views and needs of young people are considered in safeguarding strategy, policy, practice and assurance. The role is not operational: it is a strategic governance and assurance role, with support, induction and mentoring provided.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide a young adult perspective to Committee discussions and decision-making.

· Ensure that the perspectives, experiences and voices of young people are reflected in safeguarding discussions, policy development and Committee decision-making.

· Help ensure the experiences and views of young people are considered in safeguarding strategy, policy and practice.

· Contribute to discussions on safeguarding risk, assurance, organisational learning and continuous improvement.

· Support the Committee’s consideration of emerging safeguarding issues affecting young people, including risks in online and digital environments.

· Assist the Committee in reviewing safeguarding performance, learning and assurance information.

· Contribute to the Committee’s review of safeguarding assurance activity, quality assurance findings, thematic reviews, and organisational learning arising from safeguarding incidents and case reviews.

· Contribute ideas and constructive challenge to help improve safeguarding across Scouts.

· Support the Committee in ensuring safeguarding arrangements remain fit for purpose and responsive to changing risks.

THE PERSON

Skills

· Communicate confidently and respectfully with a range of audiences.

· Develop a broad understanding of Scouts, its governance arrangements and safeguarding practice.

Experience

No previous committee experience is required. The Committee is looking for someone who can demonstrate some of the following.

· An interest in safeguarding and the welfare of young people.

· An interest in digital safeguarding, online safety, digital harms, social media risks or emerging technologies.

· Experience of volunteering, leadership or participation in youth organisations.

· Experience of representing the views of young people or contributing to youth voice activity.

· Education, employment or voluntary experience connected to safeguarding, social care, criminology, law, psychology, education, digital technology, online safety or related fields.

 Characteristics

· Aged 18-24 at the time of appointment.

· Passionate about helping create safer environments for young people.

· Commitment to the values and purpose of Scouts.

· Curiosity, willingness to learn and readiness to contribute.

· Sufficient time available to fulfil the role.

TIME COMMITMENT AND MEETINGS

The Safeguarding Committee normally meets four times per year, with three meetings held virtually and one longer meeting held face-to-face. The appointed member will be expected to read papers in advance and contribute to discussions during meetings. Support, induction and mentoring will be provided.

Applicants should expect to spend around two days per quarter on Committee business after the induction phase, including preparation, attendance and follow-up activity.

APPOINTMENT TERM

Appointments will normally be for three years, subject to a six-month review, and may be extended by mutual agreement provided the individual remains within the 18-24 age range at the start of any subsequent term.

REMUNERATION AND EXPENSES

In common with other registered charities, there is no remuneration directly associated with the role. The Scout Association will reimburse reasonable and properly documented expenses incurred in performing the role in accordance with its Expenses Policy.

As Aspire Oxfordshire approaches its 25th anniversary, we are looking for new Trustees to help shape the next chapter of our journey.

For almost 25 years, Aspire has supported people across Oxfordshire experiencing homelessness, poverty and disadvantage to build safer, healthier and more independent lives. Through supported accommodation, employment and training, homelessness prevention and personalised support, we help people create lasting change.

As we look ahead, we have ambitious plans to grow our impact, strengthen partnerships, increase fundraising and continue delivering high-quality, person-centred services. We are seeking passionate, values-led individuals to join our Board and help guide our future.

As a Trustee, you will provide strategic leadership, constructive challenge and oversight, working alongside fellow Trustees and our Executive Leadership Team to ensure Aspire remains well governed, financially sustainable and focused on delivering the greatest possible impact.

Previous Trustee experience is not essential. We welcome people who share our values, bring professional expertise and want to make a positive difference. A full induction and ongoing support will be provided.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in:

Fundraising, Communications and Social Media
Helping diversify income, build supporter engagement and raise Aspire's profile.

Charity Governance and Employment
Knowledge of the charity sector, governance, HR or employment law to support good governance and organisational development.

Social Housing and Welfare
Experience of housing, homelessness, welfare benefits or housing policy to strengthen our understanding of the sector and the people we support.

Charity Finance and Risk Management
Experience in finance, accountancy, audit or risk management to support effective financial oversight and long-term sustainability.

As a Trustee you will:

• Act in the best interests of the charity and the people we support.
• Champion Aspire and help strengthen partnerships and opportunities.

Time Commitment

The role is voluntary and designed to fit alongside professional and personal commitments.

Trustees will typically attend:

• Four hybrid Board meetings each year.
• Four online meetings each year as a member of one Board sub-committee.
• Occasional additional meetings or events where appropriate.
