Our Storrington Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.
It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

We are looking for people who can help us between 9:30am-1pm or 1pm-4:30pm Mon to Sat, or Sun 11am-3pm.

Youth Leaders work directly with young people in St John Ambulance Badger Setts and Cadet Units. By organising a mixed weekly programme, this role will allow you to teach young people how to save lives. Youth Leaders help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be. Together with the team of other Youth Helpers and Youth Leaders, you will deliver activities, sessions, and games, as well as supervise and support young people in your unit.
Cadet and Badger sessions usually run for 1.5-2 hours weekly during term time. We are looking for you to join the unit at least once a month (but we love it when volunteers can join the young people every week).
For a small commitment of your time, you will get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride from knowing that you are delivering an essential service which impacts you, the young people and your community.

Job Description:
Youth Advantage UK is seeking a volunteer Head of Local Operations to lead the launch and on-going delivery of its commissioned research projects in England and Wales. The focus of these projects will be obtaining and analysing primary and secondary data in order to help smaller community organisations improve their ways of working and effectively report on their impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring their teams deliver these projects within the agreed time-scales and in line with the goals agreed with the commissioning organisations, growing Youth Advantage’s reputation and reach.
Working closely with the Departmental Director, the ideal candidate will use their prior experience to effectively contribute to the organisation’s ability to enable evidence-based, positive local change. The programme is now delivered in thousands of schools, supported by teachers, local authorities, health partners and national bodies. As we expand our reach and impact, Trustees will play a vital role in safeguarding the integrity of The Daily Mile, strengthening partnerships, building capacity, and ensuring our work continues to benefit the children and communities who need it most.
With the London Marathon Foundation’s long-standing experience in grant making and community impact and TDMF’s proven model for inspiring activity in schools – this new structure creates a unique opportunity to accelerate change. Trustees will help guide how TDMF evolves within the London Marathon Foundation and aligns with its mission, while championing the distinct identity, values and ambitions of The Daily Mile.
The Role
We are looking for three new Trustees with experience in areas such as:
TDMF is interested in candidates who bring relevant lived or professional experience of the issues of disadvantage; a broad understanding of the charitable sector and its key issues; experience of working with and/or on Boards. Trustees should be able to commit around 8 days per year, comprised of half day board meetings, ideally attend in person at our offices near London Bridge, preparation for board meetings, and optional attendance at events that are delivered by TDMF and London Marathon Events, including the TCS Mini London Marathon.

Growing Hope Maidstone champions accessibility and provides free therapy for children with additional needs and their families in partnership with local churches. We aim to bring hope to children through providing free therapy. We grow hope for families where hope has been lost due to isolation and rejection through our free courses and workshops, and more. We share hope in Jesus, because he brings hope even in the most difficult situations. The trustees board is responsible for the governance of the local charity and supports the clinic in delivering its charitable objectives. The Finance trustee will support the Clinic Manager in delivering the Charity’s mission and vision, ensuring our culture of collaboration, curiosity and innovation continues. Trustees may act as a spokesperson and ambassador for the clinic where appropriate.
The Finance trustee will be responsible for advising on the budget and ensuring that payments are made as expected.
They will be expected to liaise with the Finance Officer who runs the day-to-day processes for Growing Hope. They will be required to give a quarterly update to the trustees as to the financial position of the charity (supported by reports provided by the Finance Officer). The role will also involve either running gift aid claims or sourcing a volunteer to do this.

Growing Hope was founded by Dr Naomi Fox who started the national charity and the first local clinic in Kings Cross in February 2018. Knowing how desperate families are for support, Growing Hope bridges the gap between the need and availability of therapy services. Growing Hope national charity provide support, structures, services and training to local Growing Hope clinics and have a vision to set up twenty clinics in partnership with local churches by 2030.
Context
Growing Hope Maidstone is set up in partnership with St. Luke’s Maidstone and seeks to be a collaborative venture with other local churches. The clinics provide free therapy services for children and young people with additional needs and their families living in the local area. The aim is to provide a holistic service which supports parents, carers and siblings - as well as the children and young people themselves. We’re looking for a volunteer HR & Volunteering Assistant who can help us put the right people, processes, and vibes in place ahead of our launch. You’ll be the heartbeat of our growing team — supporting recruitment, onboarding, volunteer experience, and the foundations of a positive, youth‑centred culture.
What You’ll Be Doing At REMIX
You’ll help us build and support our people systems, including:
Recruiting and onboarding new volunteers.
Creating simple, youth‑friendly HR processes and policies.
Supporting team wellbeing and culture.
Helping us shape a safe, inclusive, empowering environment.
Making sure our volunteers feel valued, supported, and ready to shine.
Advising on best practice as we grow.
