Role overview:

As the Volunteer Foster Coordinator, you will play a vital role in managing our foster program for cats in our care. This position is essential for ensuring that our cats are placed in loving, temporary homes while they await adoption. You will collaborate closely with foster carers, potential adopters, and other volunteers to create a supportive environment that benefits both the cats and their fosters.

Key responsibilities:

• Foster management: Oversee the onboarding and ongoing support of foster carers.

• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for foster carers, addressing any questions or concerns and providing necessary updates. Communication will primarily occur through email and messaging platforms, access to facebook and Whatapp is essential.

• Training and support: Provide guidance and resources to foster carers on cat care, behaviour, and best practices to ensure the well-being of the cats in their care and ensuring our policies and procedures are upheld.

• Record keeping: Maintain organised and accurate records of foster placements, including intake forms, health updates, and feedback from foster homes.

• Coordination of resources: Ensure that foster homes have the necessary supplies (food, litter, etc.) and access to veterinary care as needed.

• Post-Foster follow-up: Check in with fosterers to gather feedback and facilitate any transitions to permanent homes, ensuring a smooth process for both the cats and their fosters.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished senior leader with experience of leading senior executive teams and/or non-executive boards. In addition to the general requirements above, we are particularly seeking candidates who can bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:

1. Charity Governance

• In-depth knowledge of charity governance best practice, preferably gained through prior trustee, board, or senior charity leadership experience.

• Understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks for UK charities.

• Legal skills relating to charity law, contracts, risk management, or related fields (desirable).

2. Charity Fundraising

Experience and understanding of charity fundraising, with particular relevance to EA-aligned funding environments.

• Experience of designing, advising on, or evaluating campaigns that seek measurable improvements for farmed animals.

• Awareness of the wider animal protection movement, including key organisations, campaign tactics, risks, and opportunities for collaboration.

• Scientific or veterinarian understanding and experience with farmed animals (desirable).

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to the Board’s role in giving strategic direction, setting overall policy, defining goals, and evaluating performance.

Our Chair plays a vital role in making sure that Possible achieves its core purpose. They provide leadership and direction to the board of trustees, enabling effective governance of the charity, and they closely manage the Director team to support—and challenge—them to achieve their vision for the organisation.

Possible is about to embark on its next phase as an organisation with the implementation of its new four year organisational strategy. This is a really exciting, important time to join the team in such a pivotal role, and have a real impact on the successful delivery of this work.

As our new Chair, you’ll lead the team of trustees, ensuring they provide on-going strategic direction, critical challenge and helping hands to ensure we continue to land our work with the size of impact the climate crisis demands. About The Role

The Recruitment Manager leads and oversees volunteer recruitment across all Make A Smile chapters. You will support Chapter Recruitment Officers, run central recruitment activities, and ensure volunteers can progress smoothly from first hearing about the charity to becoming fully qualified and ready to attend events.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a strategic and hands‑on role in growing the charity’s volunteer base. Responsibilities include:

● Overseeing the full volunteer journey - from first contact to becoming “Qualified” and event‑ready.

● Providing guidance, training, and ongoing support to Chapter Recruitment Officers.

● Ensuring Recruitment Officers run effective Introduction Training sessions, recruitment fairs, and outreach activities.

We already have a lot of music industry experience so it is our priority to fill these positions with people who have confidence on the boards of UK charities. A passion for diversity or adult education is a bonus. Knowledge of the music industry is not required.

What You'll Be Doing

✅ Developing and implementing Equal Aqua's People and HR strategy

✅ Leading volunteer recruitment campaigns and improving talent acquisition processes

✅ Designing and enhancing volunteer onboarding experiences

✅ Driving volunteer engagement, retention and performance initiatives

✅ Supporting learning and development opportunities across the organisation

✅ Reviewing and strengthening organisational values, policies and culture

✅ Building a positive, inclusive and collaborative team environment across our global volunteer network

✅ Contributing to organisational reporting and representing Equal Aqua externally when required [EAU People...Targonski | Word]

Who We're Looking For

You may be a People Manager, HR Manager, Talent Acquisition Manager, HR Business Partner, Organisational Development professional or experienced People Advisor looking to apply your skills to a purpose-driven cause.

You'll bring:

• Experience in HR, People Management, Talent Development or Organisational Development

• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills

• Experience developing people processes and strategies

• A passion for diversity, inclusion and volunteer engagement

• The ability to work independently in a remote environment
