We are seeking an ambitious new Chair to lead our Board of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the success of an increasingly influential charity that is having  substantial impact on national policy and on the lives of vulnerable people.
We are looking for someone who shares our values of putting people first, bringing people together and seeking lasting change. A passion for our work and an appreciation of the unique insights brought by lived experience are essential. The ideal candidate will be well-respected and possess active networks in policy, public affairs, and/or business sectors, including philanthropy. They will leverage these connections to enhance our work. The individual will have a proven trach record of setting, agreeing and attending to an organisation’s strategy, and will bring financial literacy and business acumen.

Role details:

Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) are at the heart of our work. We work with people with lived experience of MS, volunteers, and professionals to guide and direct our approach to EEDI.

The EEDI Reference Group is a group of people affected by MS who helped develop our previous EEDI strategy and now support the EEDI work in our more recent organisational strategy. They bring lived experience of marginalisation for example people from minoritised ethnic groups, the LGBTQ+ community, carers and disabled people.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) work. By attending monthly meetings you’ll use your lived and/or professional experience to provide advice, feedback, guidance and personal opinion on our EEDI work.

This is a home-based role, which will require attending online meetings of up to an hour, with up to 30 minutes of pre-reading and follow-up work before each one.

The Mindful Foundation is a growing UK charity working across abuse prevention, emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, and victim support. We’re looking for a Volunteer Fundraiser to help us find and apply for grants to support our work.

You would mainly support funding applications and grant research for our three core projects:

• Think Different: Prevent Harm Through Education
A trauma-informed early intervention programme for children and young people aged 8–18 in schools, alternative provision settings, and foster care.

• True Power: Change Starts Inside

A discreet victim support app designed to help people experiencing abuse access support safely.

We’re looking for a warm, British Sign Language Volunteer to provide in house support to Deaf women living in our refuge. This role is all about connection, inclusion and helping women feel fully involved in day to day life within the service.

As a BSL Volunteer, you’ll support communication between service users and staff, help women engage in activities, and be a friendly, reassuring presence in the house.

What you will be doing

• Providing British Sign Language support to Deaf service users within the refuge
