Core Responsibilities

1. Clinical Leadership & Match Day Support

 Lead the implementation of mental wellbeing and performance enhancement strategies on match-day Sundays.

 Conduct individual and group consultations to support player psychological resilience and coping skills.

 Assess and respond to player mental health needs, providing appropriate support and signposting as necessary.

- Oversee the integration of psychological data (e.g., HRV, self-report metrics) into player care plans.

2. Mentorship & Management
- Manage, mentor, and support an enthusiastic

 3rd-year graduate sports psychology or related student.

- Coordinate student rotas and delegate match-day responsibilities to support their professional development.

- Provide constructive feedback to your student assistant on interventions, assessments, and player interactions.

3. Department Operations
- Monitor psychological wellbeing across the squad and maintain confidential, accurate electronic records.
- Ensure all practices comply with National League Tier 7 and professional standards for athlete mental health.

- Deliver occasional educational workshops for players and coaches on mental skills and team cohesion.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential
- Degree in Sports Psychology, Psychology with a focus in Sport, or similar (Newly qualified / Junior / Senior 2 level)

 Professional board registration or eligibility (e.g., BPS, BASES, HCPC, or equivalent)

 Experience or training in athlete mental health support and psychological skills coaching

- Valid professional indemnity insurance
- Availability for Sunday match days

Desirable
- Prior experience working within women’s football or a team sports environment

- Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate between players, coaches, and student staff

The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) gives old buildings a future - and we’re looking for an experienced strategic thinker and inspiring leader to be our new Chair of Trustees in our 150th anniversary year and beyond.

As Chair, you'll guide us at Board level, champion the SPAB Approach, attend meetings, support our activities and be an ambassador for the country’s oldest heritage organisation.

We help people to look after old buildings, making them fit for the future while keeping their historic character. We do this through casework, technical research and advice, education and training, awards, outreach and events across the UK and Ireland. 

Our work is underpinned by a conservation philosophy that encourages people to preserve historic fabric. These external requirements are set out in the Financial Memorandum between LSHTM and the OfS. The Council comprises a majority of lay members, as well as staff members and a student member. The roles of Chair and Deputy Chair of the Council are separated from the role of LSHTM’s Chief Executive, the Director.

Council has two vacancies for the role of independent member of Council. LSHTM has identified a number of areas where relevant expertise from any new Council members would be welcomed:

• Finance, Accounting and Investment Management
• Business, Enterprise, SMEs and start-ups
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Digital

Amongst the desirable attributes sought from members of Council and its Committees are:

Time Commitment

The nature of the role requires a commitment of time to prepare, attend and actively participate in Council and Committee meetings. Council meets four times a year and its Committees meet between three and six times a year depending on the Committee. 

Remuneration

This is a non-remunerated role that does not attract a salary or honorarium. Independent members of Council and Committees will be able to claim reasonable travel and subsistence expenses incurred in the course of LSHTM business.

What You’ll Do

As a UCAN Enfield Ambassador, you’ll play a key role in helping people find out about and engage with the UCAN project, which promotes healthy lifestyle changes through free exercise, nutrition and wellbeing sessions. You’ll help support sessions on the day and raise awareness in the community.

You will:

• Attend UCAN exercise or nutrition sessions to take the register and gather feedback from attendees
• Represent UCAN at community events or groups by helping to set up an information stall
• Talk to members of the public about UCAN and help them sign up
• Input register or sign-up data into the CRM system (training provided)

· Help maintain the allotment space (e.g. watering, weeding, planting, harvesting)

· Support the set-up and upkeep of planting areas, raised beds, or pots

· Work with staff to plan seasonal planting or small garden projects
