Our volunteer Fashion Designer will join the founding team for PINT’s new fashion brand, helping to create and translate design ideas into products for launch. The brand will raise awareness, generate income and develop products that genuinely help people living on the street. This role will involve contributing creative design ideas, helping to develop concepts into clothing or merchandise, and working with other volunteers to make sure the fashion brand feels distinctive, practical and aligned with PINT’s mission, values and impact.

We are looking for volunteers with skills and experience in the following areas: 

• Demonstrated experience in streetwear or workwear categories - mens and womenswear 
• Carrying out product and trend research - including creating mood boards and colour palettes
• Fabric and trim research and sourcing 
• Experience creating accurate tech packs for sampling and production
• Illustration and CAD designs
• Experience liaising with manufacturers for production and quality checks. 

The right volunteer will be imaginative, practical and collaborative, with the ability to work with other volunteers to help turn this idea into a reality.

This role can be remote, however if you are based in London or Liverpool we would love you to come along to an Outreach visit to experience first hand the great work that PINT does.

Our volunteer Social Media Manager will be responsible for helping PINT build its presence across all social media channels, creating engaging content that raises awareness of the charity’s work, encourages support and helps people understand the difference PINT makes in the community. This role will involve planning and posting content, helping to tell stories about PINT’s projects and impact, and working with other volunteers to make sure our social media activity is consistent, creative and aligned with wider marketing and communications activity.

We are looking for volunteers with experience managing social media channels, creating content and building engagement online. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who can write strong copy, create or source visual content, and understand how to tailor posts for different platforms and audiences. Our volunteer Partnerships Manager will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with organisations, businesses, universities, community groups and other potential supporters who could help PINT increase its reach, resources and impact. This will be across a number of different areas of PINTs work and various projects. We are also looking for someone who is proactive, organised and confident communicating PINT’s mission clearly, with the ability to work alongside other volunteers collaboratively.

We are looking for volunteers with experience in partnerships, business development, fundraising, stakeholder engagement or relationship management. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who are confident reaching out to new contacts, developing opportunities and maintaining positive relationships with external organisations. This is a new volunteer role, so we are looking for someone who can bring ideas and initiative to help shape our approach to partnerships, sponsorships, donations and wider community support for PINT’s work.

With 1 in 4 children in the UK leaving primary school unable to read or write properly, we recruit and train in-person and online volunteers to introduce children from under-resourced areas to the pleasure of reading.

What’s Involved?

As a Doorstep Library reading volunteer, you’ll visit the same families via Zoom every week with eBooks to share with the children and encourage their love of reading.

You will:

• Handpick eBooks from our online portals based on the children’s age, interests, and reading level
• Join families via Zoom with your volunteer partner for 20-minute reading sessions  
• Make notes after the session to keep track of how the child/ren are progressing

Our unique home-based approach allows our volunteers to build trusting relationships with families, helping them to connect with the community and equip them with the skills they need to succeed later in life.

When and Where?

You can be based anywhere in the UK to become a Doorstep Library online volunteer.

Claremont has been around since 1819 and serves mostly older people through a powerful blend of social prescribing, low-cost psychotherapy and a programme of arts and wellbeing activities.

About the role

The Treasurer is a key member of the Board of Trustees, helping to ensure Claremont’s financial health, sustainability and good governance.

Working closely with the Chair, CEO and bookkeeper, the Treasurer supports the Board in overseeing the charity’s financial affairs and ensuring appropriate financial stewardship.

The Treasurer will:

• Support the Board in fulfilling its financial governance responsibilities.
• Help ensure that effective financial controls and reporting systems are in place.
• Provide oversight and constructive challenge regarding budgets, forecasts and financial planning.

On Monday evenings during term time, Leatherhead Youth Project (LYP) runs a project called Aspire to help support young people in school years 11 - 13. This includes maths & English tutorship to help young people gain GCSE or functional skills qualifications, money budgeting sessions and support with exploring further education, volunteering or job opportunities.

This volunteer role will support the running of this project and involves helping to run the session and provide tutorship for the young people to help them with their maths & English. 

All the sessions are planned in advance by the 16+ Provision Lead and shared with the volunteers. Each session is tailored to the individual needs of the young people attending.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To be available from 6:15 - 7:45pm on Monday evenings during term time. 

• To be friendly, welcoming and encouraging to the young people attending.

• Engage young people in learning and help build their confidence. 

• Support neurodiverse young people and adapt the learning to suit their individual needs. 

• Have a good knowledge of foundation GCSE and functional skills maths and English to be able to provide tutorship to the young people. 

• Ability to adapt your teaching to different learning styles.

• The session will finish at 7:30pm, to help with tidying up afterwards. 

• To undertake appropriate training with LYP before and during your time as a volunteer, including safeguarding training.

• To be aware of any concerns for young people present and to immediately report these to the project leader. 

Training
All LYP volunteers are subject to a DBS check, references, and basic training on youth work and safeguarding.
