Do you enjoy speaking to people and working with computers? Are you organised? You could support our Talk and Support team to run our award winning befriending groups by matching blind and partially sighted people from our waiting list into our telephone befriending groups. You would be helping people to get into one of our groups as quickly as possible and helping to end the isolation of sight loss.

We are looking for someone who is available one day each week who is comfortable using computers and computer based telephony systems and who is familiar with Microsoft Office 365.

We are currently looking for a volunteer to help support our bi-weekly Link Group meeting.

The Link Group is a group of approx. 6 – 8 people with learning disabilities and one Speak Out staff facilitator who meet every two weeks on a Tuesday morning. We work with the Learning Disability Partnership Board, a group of LD providers and BHCC decision makers, to represent the views of the learning disability community in Brighton and Hove. We run surveys and consultations with the LD community to get their views on local issues and policy, as well as working directly with Council teams to design good policy and deliver accessible events.

Recent examples of this are the survey we did about the state of activities and services in Brighton and Hove post-Covid; and working with the Council's Healthy Lifestyles team to make their annual sports and physical activities festival. TakePart, more accessible for people with learning disabilities.

What the role involves:

• Being available for 2 hours every other week to provide self-advocacy group support at Speak Out offices or an alternative venue in the community
• You will be present to support people in a group setting
• You may be required to attend the Learning Disability Partnership board quarterly
• You will adhere to Speak Out’s Code of Practice
• You may be required to help clear up at the end of sessions.

PINT has been supporting people experiencing homelessness since 2006, established in London, delivering consistent, relationship-led outreach. PINT is launching in Liverpool this summer and we are seeking volunteers to help on a weekly basis. Whether it is 2 hours per week or whatever you can manage, we would love to hear from you!

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in your local community, gain valuable experience for your CV, get out and about, and meet some truly great people along the way. Most importantly, you will be part of something special, helping to bring PINT to Liverpool for the very first time and directly improving the lives of people who need it most.

The Role  

This is a hands-on, community-facing voluntary role focused on establishing PINT's presence in Liverpool through regular outreach, volunteer recruitment, and local partnership building. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Attending weekly outreach sessions, distributing food, and essential supplies to people experiencing homelessness 

• Building relationships with local businesses, organisations, and charities to develop partnerships and grow the outreach 

• Managing logistics including donation collection, session planning, and volunteer coordination 

• Growing PINT's presence and community awareness across the city

We are currently on the hunt from some volunteers to help support our weekly Speak Out Central drop-ins.

Speak Out Central is a weekly drop-in for people with learning disabilities in the centre of Brighton, helping to prevent loneliness and social isolation. People get together over a cuppa at main office at the Brighthelm Centre between 1:30pm and 5:30pm every Tuesday. We aim to support people to be more involved in their local community and make connections with others at the drop-in and the wider community in the city.

The role involves:

• To help facilitate weekly drop-in meetings with other volunteers and staff
• Work with people with Learning disabilities to become more independent and try new things away from the drop-in
• Support people with learning disabilities to develop supportive relationships and friendships
• Support people with learning disabilities to feel more confident accessing mainstream services.
• Attend induction training and ongoing training as required.
• To work independently as needed and adhere to the Speak Out Codes of Practice for Volunteers and Advocates at all times
• Support people in the decisions they make but not make them for them.
• To challenge discrimination and help people to have their rights upheld.
• To identify at risk clients and follow Speak Out’s safeguarding process if needed

 Role summary - To participate as a member of the Maintenance Team covering general maintenance, domestic and health and safety duties. A good level of fitness is required for this role. Due to proximity to patients in the hospice, this role requires an enhanced DBS check. 

Main duties of the role - 

• To undertake simple maintenance tasks such as painting, PPM (planned preventative maintenance), erecting shelving, sweeping external areas, jet washing of terrace furniture, removal of weeds, hedge trimming, and other tasks relating to the upkeep of the site.

• To assist the maintenance team where needed to deliver and collect from Colchester General Hospital and EBME.

• To assist the maintenance team with the setting up and dismantle of rooms for meetings, ensuring all furniture and equipment requested is supplied.

• To report any maintenance, security or health and safety issues to the maintenance team

• To always wear personal protective equipment required for any task.

• To liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.

• To respect at all times the confidentiality of information including patients, staff and volunteers.

• To conduct any other maintenance duties as requested by the Estates & Facilities team.

Training & supervision - 

• Online training including health and safety is mandatory

• Full training in relation to the role will be provided

We are seeking a volunteer to support our fundraising team by researching new corporate partnership opportunities and helping to build a pipeline of prospective business supporters.

The volunteer will identify companies whose values and CSR, ESG, employee engagement or charitable giving objectives align with Housing for Women’s mission. The role will focus on researching Charity of the Year partnerships, strategic corporate collaborations, sponsorship opportunities and corporate volunteering programmes.

The volunteer will play a key role in maintaining and developing a pipeline of prospective corporate supporters, helping Housing for Women create new income-generating and engagement opportunities.

About the role: 
 
We are looking for people to help at our Christmas 'Merry Moments' events taking place across November and December 2026. These event will be for disabled children, young people and their families to come along and and enjoy a fun filled sensory extravaganza. And we need extra peopel to support our team to make it all work. We will be running at least 3 Merry Moments events 2 in Windsor and 1 in Wokingham.

We are looking for volunteer van drivers to join our team. Usually, our drivers are out between 9am-1pm, however some afternoon opportunities may be available. You will be delivering food parcels to various pick up points around Barnsley, as well as picking up donations. Must have a valid, clean driving licence. We will be in touch with applicants for an informal chat if successful.

We are looking for volunteers to join the food bank team. This could include warehouse volunteering, being a driver's mate, administration or volunteering at supermarket collections. There are multiple roles available, from as little as 1 hour a day.

Do Me A Favour Buddy (DMAFB) is a preventative workforce health platform. We use validated psychological science to help managers spot early signs of declining work energy, low psychological safety, and unmet needs in their teams — and act before people reach crisis point. We are UK and Swiss registered, working alongside researchers at King's College London, UCL, Brunel, and the University of Sussex, and currently piloting with NHS and enterprise teams.

What you'd do
As a member of our feedback panel, you'll take part in short, structured design tests — for example, viewing a page for five seconds and telling us what you think the company does, choosing between two design directions, or showing us where you'd click first. Occasionally we'll invite you to a relaxed 30-minute video call to walk through the platform and tell us what's confusing, what's compelling, and what's missing. You can do as much or as little as suits you; every activity is optional.

Who we're looking for
Anyone with experience of workplaces — employees, team leaders, HR professionals, healthcare staff, people who've experienced workplace stress. We want a genuinely representative panel across ages, sectors, and levels of tech confidence. If you've never done anything like this before, that makes your perspective more valuable, not less.

Eczema Outreach Support (EOS) is a UK-wide charity supporting children and young people with eczema and their families. We want to make sure that no child’s future is lost to eczema. We are a small team making a big impact and we couldn’t do this without the support and expertise of our trustees.

We are looking for four new trustees to join our dynamic team to lead EOS as it moves into the second year of our current organisational strategy. Personal experience of eczema is not essential, however, a commitment to making the lives of families facing this unpredictable condition better is vital.

What will you be doing?

As a trustee you would be part of the EOS Board who are responsible for the strategic oversight of the organisation, managing risk and overseeing the organisation’s finances. This is a strategic role with charity operations being carried out by the staff and volunteer team.

All trustees:

• Attend quarterly online Board Meetings in January, April, July and October. These usually take place on a weekday evening between 8pm and 9:45pm

• Attend the AGM, online, usually in the Autumn during a weekday evening

• Attend the annual away day (in-person, full day during the week).

Accommodation and travel expenses can be reimbursed. We also ask that all trustees are willing to join one sub-committee relevant to their areas of expertise and interests. Sub-committees usually meet once per quarter, online, at a time to suit members.

Where will you be based?

Trustee meetings, senior staff meetings and the AGM all take place online via Zoom. Our Away Day is usually an in-person event. Sub-committee meetings take place online via Zoom or Teams at a time that works for members.

Out of Pocket Expenses

As this is a voluntary role, you won’t be paid for your time, but we will reimburse all reasonable expenses in line with our Expenses Policy.

Safeguarding

EOS is committed to keeping everyone we work with safe. We have robust safeguarding policies and procedures in place and will provide you with training relevant to your role. If you ever have a concern about anyone you come into contact with during your volunteering, please speak to our CEO or the Chair of the Board immediately. Trustees are expected to complete some online safeguarding training.

General

To keep everyone safe and supported, all trustees must operate within EOS’s policies and guidelines relevant to their role. In particular, you must agree to and follow the EOS Code of Conduct for Trustees. At the start of every Board Meeting, trustees are also asked to declare any conflicts of interest.
