Job description

Better Together Learning Trust is seeking people who have experience and skills that can support the Trust, its staff and students.

Our Trust

We are a successful Trust for students with special educational needs and have two schools: Friars Academy which is rated outstanding by Ofsted and Chelveston Road School which was opened in 2021 and is rated as Good with Outstanding Behaviour and Attendance.

 

We are investing in our expertise to provide support to not only our students, but also to offer support to mainstream schools, through a dedicated outreach team.

The students and staff are open and welcoming, and we would like to invite you to apply for a role as trustee.

Skills

We want people who are passionate about giving special needs students the best possible start in life. If you have skills that would help to support the Board then please apply.

 

We are especially interested in people with experience in HR, special education, governance or legal affairs.

About the role

As a trustee you would need to be able to carry out this role you will have to commit to: up to 6 Board meetings a year attend two committee meetings 3 times a year and, where possible, visit the school at events and during the school day.

These will include, but are not limited to DBS, Social Media and Section 128 checks.
