Job description

Inspire Your Community to Go Big for Children

Be the Spark Behind Someone's Greatest Challenge

Are you passionate about big events, community spirit, and making a difference? Join the NSPCC as a Challenge Events Champion and help recruit and support local heroes to take on iconic fundraising events like the Great North Run, Leeds Marathon, a local Skydive and other epic Yorkshire-based challenges.

 What You'll Do:

  • Connect with local groups — running clubs, gyms, workplaces, universities, and social groups — and inspire them to take on a challenge for the NSPCC.
  • Attend meetups and events to share stories, promote fundraising opportunities, and encourage sign-ups for major events.
  • Be a motivator — support participants from the moment they commit to the moment they cross the finish line.
  • Spot opportunities to grow our presence at Yorkshire's biggest events and help us reach more communities.
  •

You'll Love This Role If You:

  • Enjoy meeting new people and speaking in front of groups.
  • Are passionate about fitness, events, or community fundraising.
  • Want to make a real difference in the lives of children across the UK.
  • Are proactive, outgoing, and love rallying people around a cause.

⏰ Time Commitment:  No more than 2 hours a week with flexibility to fit around your lifestyle

 What You'll Get:

  • Full training and ongoing support from the NSPCC fundraising team.
  • A chance to develop skills in public speaking, networking, and event coordination.
  • The satisfaction of knowing you're helping protect children and support families.
  • Recognition, NSPCC gear, and invitations to special events.

Ready to help others take on the challenge of a lifetime?

Become a Challenge Events Champion and turn Yorkshire's biggest races into powerful acts of kindness.
