Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is a survivor-led organisation building a platform for truth-telling, accountability, and community healing. Our work centres the voices of people who have been ignored, silenced, or left behind by existing systems.
We are developing a podcast and documentary storytelling platform that seeks to give space to real human experiences — particularly stories connected to childhood trauma, survival, resilience, and social neglect.
We are seeking a Volunteer Documentary Videographer to accompany the founder one Saturday per month in and around London to record conversations with members of the public — particularly those who are homeless or facing hardship — who wish to share their stories.
This is not a conventional videography role.
This is ethical storytelling and community witnessing.
About the Role
As Documentary Videographer, you will accompany the founder on monthly field recording days across London to capture authentic, respectful interviews and conversations with people willing to speak about their lived experiences.
These stories will contribute to:
• The organisation’s podcast
• Documentary storytelling projects
• Survivor awareness work
• Educational and advocacy media
Your role is to capture these stories sensitively, respectfully, and responsibly, ensuring participants are treated with dignity and consent.
This is not sensationalist media.
This is truth-telling and human storytelling.
Key Responsibilities

Applicants should ideally have access to a small portable filming setup suitable for street interviews, such as:
• Mirrorless camera or equivalent capable of recording high-quality video
• Wireless lavalier microphone system (two microphones preferred)
• Lightweight tripod or stabiliser
• Basic portable lighting (optional)
• Spare batteries and memory cards
Equivalent setups, including high-quality smartphone filming with professional microphones, will also be considered.
Formal qualifications are not required. Equivalent experience or demonstrable ability is acceptable.
