Job description

We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help run our Stepford Café — a welcoming social hub where players, families, and locals can enjoy a hot drink, a tasty bite, and a warm atmosphere while the games are on. Whether you're great with people, love being part of a team, or just want to give back to your community, your support will help keep the café buzzing and make a real difference.

What you can get involved in:

· Serving teas, coffees, and light snacks

· Chatting with customers and making them feel welcome

· Helping with basic cleaning and tidying

· Restocking supplies and keeping the café organised

· Supporting events or match days with extra hands on deck

Volunteers will come from a wide range of background and will have many different qualities and skills. We are looking for:

· A friendly, approachable attitude

· Willingness to muck in and help out wherever needed

· Reliability

· It would be great if you had experience in a café or service industry setting however, experience isn’t essential —a positive spirit and a willingness to get involved will do just fine!

Commitment:

We’re ideally looking for volunteers who can help out once or twice a week for a couple of hours — but we’re totally flexible. Whether you can commit weekly or just want to pop in when you can manage, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you?

· Build confidence and customer service skills

· Meet new people and be part of a supportive team

· Gain experience in a service setting

· Make a real difference in your local community

· Boost your CV

· Enjoy free hot drinks and good chat while you help out!

Support and Training

We’ll provide all the guidance you need, including a warm welcome, on-the-job training, and ongoing support from our friendly team.

No references or CV required! When you apply and it prompts you to add a CV you can submit a blank piece of paper or feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself!
