Join FARA, a charity with over 30 years of experience and 39 charity shops across London. Our shop Streatham is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser Volunteer to help us create an inspiring, welcoming, and engaging shop environment.
By volunteering with us, you’ll directly support our mission, help promote reuse through donation and recycling, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.
The Role:
As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Curating engaging in-store displays in key “hotspot” areas
- Organising continually changing merchandise into attractive and logical groupings
- Assisting in planning and executing occasional window displays
- Ensuring shop floor presentation is tidy, visually appealing
- Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Supporting sustainable practices by ensuring items are displayed appropriately and unsellable items are redirected responsibly
The Volunteer:
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a creative eye for presentation and visual detail
- Has an interest in fashion and/or a passion for products and merchandising
- Is friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic
- Is reliable and able to work as part of a team
- Has experience in visual merchandising (a bonus, but not essential)

Your Time:
Our shop operates from 10:00 to 18:00, and we’re looking for someone who can volunteer for a minimum of 4 hours a day, either in the Morning or Afternoon at least once a week, by arrangement with the shop manager.
