Communications & Social Media Intern (Voluntary Role)

Genesis Impact is a UK charity dedicated to strengthening communities through educational development, preparing young people to make a positive impact in their communities and supporting parents to achieve their full potential to foster family unity.

We’re looking for a communications and social media intern to help us share our story across Instagram, LinkedIn, and email newsletters. The ideal person is creative, organised, and keen to gain real experience in charity communications.

Responsibilities:

• Create and schedule engaging posts for Instagram and LinkedIn

• Help design simple graphics or reels (Canva or CapCut skills helpful)

• Support event promotion and highlights (e.g. Acclivity Award Ceremony)

• Gather and write short quotes or stories from mentors/mentees

• Track engagement and suggest ways to improve reach

Skills/Experience (desirable but not essential):

• Interest in communications, marketing, or social media

• Good written English and creative eye for visuals

• Comfortable using Canva or similar tools

• Passion for community, mentoring, and youth development
