About Trans Celebration
Trans Celebration is a trans-led grassroots organisation based in the UK, dedicated to uplifting trans and gender-diverse communities through celebration, advocacy, and education. Our monthly campaigns use creative media like fashion, beauty, and the arts to highlight gender diversity and improve visibility, inclusion, and access to resources.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic SEO Specialist Volunteer to help optimise our online presence and ensure our campaigns and content reach the communities that need them most.
Job Summary
The SEO Specialist Volunteer will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and searchability of Trans Celebration’s website and digital content. This volunteer will work alongside the marketing team to implement SEO best practices, conduct keyword research, improve site structure, and analyse web performance—all to ensure our content reaches a broader audience and amplifies trans voices online.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct keyword research to inform website content and campaign strategies.
· Optimise existing content for improved search engine ranking (meta tags, headers, alt text, etc.).
· Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
· Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with web/content teams to resolve them.
· Assist in developing backlink strategies and improving domain authority.
· Support the content team in creating SEO-optimised blogs and pages.
· Provide monthly reports on SEO performance and suggest improvements.
· Stay up to date with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Competencies:
· Understanding of SEO principles and search engine algorithms.
· Experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Moz, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.
· Ability to perform keyword research and competitor analysis.
· Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (especially WordPress).
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Solid written communication and reporting skills.
Bonus Experience (Not Required):
· Previous experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or technical SEO.
· Familiarity with accessibility best practices and inclusive web design.
· Experience working with or volunteering for LGBTQIA+ organisations.

We provide activities, opportunities, information, and support for people with a learning disability or autism, their parents, and siblings.
For all our projects and activities we are dependent on volunteers.
Our Weekend Clubs
10.00am to 1.30pm and/or 1:30pm to 6.00pm, monthly, Saturdays during term time.
We are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers, to join us on our fantastic fun-filled Weekend club activities.
Volunteers and our members who have disabilities get to know each other as they take part in fun and challenging workshops including sports & games, arts & crafts, cooking and enjoying a day out in London once a term.
What you'll do
On the club you and a fellow volunteer will be paired with one of our members with a learning disability or autism. You'll support and encourage them to take part in a wide range of activities led by professional therapists and workshop leaders.
Our aim at a Kith & Kids’ club is that everybody has lots of fun in an environment in which our members feel safe and relaxed and can fully express themselves. We aim that our members receive 2:1 volunteer support. This helps ensure that the sessions have lots of energy and enthusiasm. It also gives new volunteers a chance to learn further support tips from experienced volunteers.
Our Weekend Clubs also allow our members to develop key skills and relationships in a fun, friendly and safe setting that is individually centred on their needs.
Workshops include music, drama, arts & crafts, sports & games and much more. We even enjoy trips out! Recently groups have attended swimming, museums, crazy golf, and bowling.
Not only is it a session full of fun and games for you and our members, but you are also a vital part in supporting them to develop their social skills in a day-to-day environment.

Our Employability Project
10am to 3pm, Monday and/or Friday during term-time
Our Employment & Life Skills Project (ELSP) helps adults with learning disabilities or autism to access further education, work experience and visits to mainstream community opportunities.
What you’ll do
You’ll act as a mentor to the members of the group. You’ll be helping the group(s) develop a range of life skills, things that many of us take for granted. These include Maths and English skills, independent living, the use of public transport, social skills and even the sourcing of employment.
For the people in these groups, these things can be very difficult to develop and achieve without regular support. Through regular support and meetings, members and volunteers develop greater trust, skills, and confidence together.

What you'll do
On the project you and a fellow volunteer will be paired with one of our members with a learning disability or autism. You'll support and encourage them to take part in a wide range of activities led by professional therapists and workshop leaders.
Our core activities are sports & games, arts & crafts, drama, and music. Previous additional workshops have also included photography, football and cooking and you’ll plan your own exciting outing around London with a fellow volunteer and the Kith & Kids member you're linked with.
Not only is it a time full of fun and games for you and our members, but you are also a vital part in supporting our members to develop their social skills in a day-to-day environment.

• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort, including 10 meetings a year (4 Board; 4 sub-committee meetings; 2 Board Away Days)
• Willingness to attend fundraising and awareness raising events on behalf of the charity at least three times a year.
Our meetings:
• Our Board meetings are held four-times per year on Tuesday evenings, 17.00-19.00, in person at the hospice
• We run two whole-day Board Away Days each year to provide additional time for strategic discussion and trustee development
• We have four Committees which all meet four-times per year, with meetings on Tuesday afternoons and evenings, and Wednesday evenings

Performance Making Diploma overview
Run in partnership with the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, our Performance Making Diploma is known as one of the world’s leading courses for and by learning disabled and autistic creatives.Students work with celebrated theatre and TV professionals to learn performance skills, create scripts and performances, and prepare for different career options in the arts and media.
Take Part Programmes overview
Our Take Part programme works with participants across East London and beyond, building creative skills, increasing confidence and making performance. They take place in arts venues, day centres, care homes, community centres and colleges.
As a volunteer, you might…
- Work creatively alongside students and participants and act as a ‘creative partner’ to support their ideas; Provide access support for students and participants including note-taking, accessing sensory tool, repeating instructions, etc.;
- Support the devising of performances;
- Perform alongside participants as on-stage creative support or in forum theatre workshop exercises;
- Attend theatre trips with students and participants.

Student Network Catalyst (Impact Champions)

Be at the heart of building a global, student-led movement for educational equity. We are launching 'Impact Champions' - a worldwide network of student societies tackling local education challenges. We need a catalyst to help us find and empower the founding leaders of this network.
In this role, you will:

Develop creative outreach strategies to find and recruit the most passionate student leaders, starting in South Asia.

Build and nurture an inspiring online community for our first cohort of leaders, connecting them with each other and our mission.

Help shape the support system for these new societies, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to create real-world impact.

Your work will directly lead to the creation of new campus hubs for social change, empowering hundreds of students to become leaders in their own communities.

• Ensure that all staff, volunteers and visitors sign the attendance book on arrival and departure.
• To be warm, welcoming, considerate and understanding to all patients and visitors.
• Familiarise themselves with the daily listings so that they are aware of visitors to the Hospice.
• Ensure he/she is aware of any meetings to be held at the Hospice.
• Ensure all Fire, Health & Safety rules are observed and be aware of their responsibility for their own and others safety.

Could you be a star baker, master chef or perhaps you simply enjoy baking or cooking! We are recruiting for a volunteer to join our team supporting individuals to learn new recipes together as a group.
Baking and cooking helps to relax, get creative and indulge in our senses. Often, it can spark nostalgia and helps us to recreate positive experiences or memories. Inspire and motivate people in our services to do something that brings joy, an opportunity to learn new skills whilst connecting with others over sharing baked goods and delicious meals.
We work with people who need support with their mental health across London and the South East. Our support ranges from registered accommodation services for people with severe mental health conditions to drop-in community and crisis services.
In the last year, 9,499 adults accessed Hestia’s mental health support.
We help people to feel safe, develop hope for a better future, and achieve their personal goals. These goals may include rebuilding relationships with family members and friends or connecting more with their local community.
What you will be doing
- Research and plan new recipes for cooking/baking sessions in collaboration with the group each week
- Encourage individuals to participate in the sessions and delegate cooking tasks
- Support individuals to shop for ingredients needed for the session
- Support individuals each week in setting up for the sessions and tidying away afterwards
- Encourage individuals to participate in all aspects of the planning and attendance
- Keep a record of attendees, provide feedback and report any concerns to the staff team
The skills you need
- Food Safety Certificate/knowledge or willingness to complete relevant training
- Passion and knowledge of healthy eating and cooking
- Ability to engage, encourage and motivate individuals to participate in sessions
- Ability to provide a supportive and inclusive atmosphere
