We’re looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Volunteer to support our campaigns and help spread our message of celebration and inclusion to a wider audience.

Job Summary

As a Marketing Volunteer, you will support the planning and execution of marketing strategies that promote Trans Celebration’s work, values, and campaigns. This role involves content creation, social media support, SEO assistance, and analytics tracking. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on marketing experience in a mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and rollout of marketing campaigns across digital platforms.

• Write engaging copy for social media, emails, and promotional materials.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to help shape campaign direction and creative ideas.

As the Newsletter Volunteer, you will support the creation and execution of email campaigns that promote Trans Celebration’s initiatives and community resources. Key Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDRAW is a plus.

All our Benefits Advocates play an integral role within our Information and Advice team and last year helped us to identify over £2.5 million in unclaimed welfare benefits entitlement for older people in the county. This money is life changing for our clients; improving quality of life and wellbeing, and supporting local services

We are looking for volunteers who are patient, sensitive and reliable, to assist older people to complete benefit forms such as Attendance Allowance. Appointments are usually in the older person's own home but can sometimes take place over the telephone. Full training and ongoing support are provided by our friendly and knowledgeable team - all based in Devon, UK.

Our volunteers will also raise awareness of and promote Age UK Devon services to clients, and record details of any other queries or concerns so that our Advisors can follow up with clients.

Skills required for this role are:

· Ability to empathise with others.

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· Understanding of confidentiality.

· Patience, sensitivity, and reliability.

· Ability to respond appropriately to different and sometimes difficult situations.

· Working as a team member, referring to other team members when appropriate.

Volunteer Befriender: Home-Start Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Hammersmith & Fulham

Are you a compassionate and reliable person who wants to make a real difference in the lives of families?

Home-Start WKCHF is looking for volunteers to support parents and children who are facing challenges such as isolation, mental health struggles, or financial difficulties.

About the Role

As a Home-Start volunteer, you will provide emotional and practical support to families with young children in their own homes. • Be able to commit to three clients a week, for a minimum of 2 years.
• Attend personal therapy throughout their placement while a trainee.
• Attend fortnightly Richmond AID supervision.
• Hold membership of their relevant awarding body

About the role: Advocacy Placement Volunteering You will be providing remote (office based/virtual) advocacy support for people impacted by hoarding behaviour (PwHB) who may be facing a variety of situations including legal, financial, psychological and discriminatory abuse/neglect. You will be working with trained colleagues to alleviate housing, benefits, mental health and other problems experienced by HUK's participants. HoardingUK (HUK) works to bring services together to improve person-centred, cost effective and time managed support.

The role: • Volunteer at HUK a minimum of one half-day (4 hours) each week. • Provide timely support to those using the service . • Maintain a caseload of up to three clients at each advice session. • Comply with HUK's case-management procedures, training programme and other relevant policies and procedures. • Work collaboratively to create an action plan with participants and professionals. • Assist in facilitating phone, correspondence, emails to statutory services and others. • Signpost to relevant external services based on participant need. • Keep accurate records. • Promote choice and control.

We're looking for a Youth Volunteer Activity Worker to support young people aged 8–16 at our local community hall two days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 3–7pm).

On Wednesdays, you’ll help deliver fun sports activities including football and boxing, while Thursdays focus on engagement activities like board games, homework help, and providing a safe space for young people to talk about any personal or educational challenges.

Children With Voices is a grassroots community charity based in Hackney, committed to supporting young people and families through initiatives that promote mental health, well-being, food sustainability, and youth empowerment. Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and creative Volunteer Photographer/Videographer to help us capture engaging photo and video content across our community projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio, gain experience in the charity sector, and contribute to meaningful causes. You'll work closely with our Social Media Manager and be an essential part of how we tell our story to the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and photograph/video activities at our Food Hub on Thursdays

Trustee for Wokingham Pride

You could be a trustee for Wokingham Pride, our family & disability-friendly organisation

Wokingham Pride is a small, grassroots Pride charity, and we are growing.  We are here for support to the LGBTQ+ community in the Wokingham Borough area all year round, and run an annual, family-friendly event in Wokingham town centre. That event is free, and everyone who supports the aims of Pride is welcome. We have a particular aim of being accessible to people with a disability or are neurodiverse, and to younger members of the community, along with their families, obviously all within a LGBTQ+ focus.

We have grown Pride from very small beginnings in 2019, registered as a charity in 2024 and expect to run a slightly larger event in 2025, with a team of volunteers to spread the workload, and a well-governed organisation to support them.

 Wokingham Pride is looking for more trustees to oversee our Governance and build our strategic vision.  Now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, we will turnover ~£2.5k this year, with hope to at least double that in the next few years.

The role and what we are looking for in a new trustee

Trustees are the people who make the top-level decisions for our charity.
Our Board includes people from the LGBTQ+ community, and we are looking for allies and supporters to join as new trustees, as well as more members of the LGBTQ+ community. All trustees must be trans-inclusive and have a strong empathy with our beneficiaries and our activities.

Although we’d welcome people without experience of charity or of trusteeship, we are also looking for those with some experience of charity Governance, in order to raise our understanding of, and performance as, a Registered Charity.

If you can think strategically and plan long-term, you have the primary skills needed by our trustees; you’ll need to be able to work collectively with other Board members.

We are a charity not a business, but we apply business principles to governing our organisation. We want to expand the diversity of our board, in all meanings of the word, and strongly welcome applications from people from less-represented groups. 

The focus of a trustee is strategic, and trustees will not be expected to get directly involved in the organisation’s operations on a day-to-day basis; however, contact and liaison with our operational volunteers is expected.   

We ask for up to eight hours of your time per month, which includes all meetings, discussions, etc.  You will need access to digital communications, as much of our charity’s business is run that way.

You will need to be eligible to be a charity trustee, which we will explain. Trustee appointments are subject to satisfactory references.

Your CV or similar will be read by our existing trustees, and an interview offered as soon as mutually convenient.

At Cats Protection we help thousands of cats each year thanks to our dedicated and passionate volunteer groups and teams, all of which help our cats in different ways. Our treasurer volunteers maintain the finances of local groups and teams, ensuring they hold the funds needed to continue their vital work. Cats Protection relies solely on donations from generous members of the public, and our treasurer volunteers help make sure these funds are spent in the most effective way.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

•  Preparing budgets
• Keeping accurate financial records
• Reporting financial records via ‘Cashlog’ (Cats Protection supplied software)
• Paying invoices and volunteer expenses
• Being part of a team which ensures there are sufficient funds to meet expenditure
• Updating and advising others on income received, expenditure and available funds
• Managing and monitoring donations made to the group
• Following financial procedures e.g. Gift Aid returns and VAT claims

Time expectation

Our current volunteer treasurers usually spend between 2 to 4 hours per week in this role. More hours may be required at certain times, such as towards the end of the financial year but support is always available.

Please note the role is a voluntary position and could be entirely remote. Any incurred reasonable expenses will be paid.
