The Trans Legal Clinic is is the first trans-led specialist gender identity legal practice in the UK. At its core, the Trans Legal Clinic is a human rights practice because Trans+ rights are human rights and without the influence of trans+ and non-binary people many of the human rights which are enjoyed by our cisgendered counterparts would cease to exist as we know them today. The mission of the Trans Legal Clinic is simple; we provide free and accessible legal help to transgender and non-binary people in need. Our overarching vision is a society where all people have access to the legal resources required for gender self-determination and where gender diversity is not just accepted but embraced, with trans+ people equipped with the necessary legal tools to navigate the world in their affirmed gender.
We are currently looking to expand our Social Media team to help us build upon our Social Media presense, primarly throughInstagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.This would be a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in Social Media curation, Marketing, Communications and passionate about making the world a safer place for Trans & non-binary people.
The ideal candidate is creative, interested and motivated by our mission, and familiar with Social Media landscape (trends, algorithms, and knowledge of Canva. No professional experience is required, though it is preferred.

• promote under-represented voices
• develop solutions to influence Players in the sector
The opportunity
You will be joining Sustainability First at a critical time, when we are stepping up our ambition to drive change in the energy and water sectors in a way that benefits people and responds to the urgent need to transition to a more sustainable future. You will work collaboratively with our Executive Director in meeting our ambitions to scale our work, drive change across the sector and embed the representation of people into decision-making.
This will include six primary responsibilities:
1 Ensure that Sustainability First has a clear strategic direction aimed at fulfilling its charity objectives and that the Strategy is regularly reviewed.
2 Oversee the governance of the Charity with:
a. an effective, diverse and relevant Board of Trustees.
b. appropriate policies, processes & financial management such that the Charity operates within the law, in pursuit of its Strategy and demonstrating good practice.
c. regular and effective liaison, reporting and oversight of the Executive Director, Company Secretary and, as necessary, staff and panel of experts in order to ensure effective and proportionate planning, use of resources, monitoring and reporting by the Board of Trustees.
3 Set the agenda for and chair Board meetings to ensure engagement of, and discussion amongst Trustees based on the best possible information, input from the Executive Director and team, leading to clear and accountable decision-making.
4 Appoint, support and manage the Executive Director on behalf of the Board.
5 Ensure that the charity has an income generation strategy which is monitored and actively supported by trustees and Chair, in order to achieve the Board’s stated objective to build resilience and capacity for Sustainability First to successfully fulfil its charitable objects.
6 Represent the charity externally as required.
Skills
After many years of service to our charity, our current Chair is retiring. At a time of opportunity and challenge for our organisation, we’re looking for someone with a proven track record of leadership at board level, ideally in the UK charity sector. Your experience of running and growing a small but impactful organisation in a professional or voluntary capacity will be crucial to the work of our Board, dedicated staff and expert associates.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, you will draw on your experience of collegiate collaboration, positive decision-making and effective problem-solving to help ensure funding, organisational excellence, and ultimately environmental and social change.
PERSON SPECIFICATION FOR CHAIR
The ideal candidate will have proven knowledge/ skills/ experience in the following areas:
- Governance and board experience (essential) and in a chairing or leadership role (desirable)
- *Demonstrable leadership skills consistent with Sustainability First’s values and charitable purpose (essential)
- *Ability to both manage and support the Board and Executive Director to help achieve the best outcomes (essential)
- Support the vision and mission of the charity (essential) with experience, networks and profile in one or more of our areas of operation (desirable)

In addition to preparing for and chairing the Board, the Chair will be an ex officio member of all Board Panels, will line manage the Executive Director and will represent the charity externally as requested.
The commitment is likely to average around two days per month. The appointment is for an initial three-year term with the option to renew.

The Developers Club Foundation is seeking dedicated individuals to join our existing Board of Trustees, which consists of 6 individuals. As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to supporting the housing and professional development of young adults at risk of long-term youth homelessness. Role Description:
As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of The Developers Club Foundation. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective governance and financial stability of the organisation, as well as overseeing the implementation of our charitable initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend fortnightly board meetings and contribute actively to discussions during the setup phase. Meetings will transition to quarterly once the setup phase is complete.

The Quality of Life Foundation
The Quality of Life Foundation was established in 2019 by Prof. Sadie Morgan OBE. Its vision is for a housing system that improves people’s quality of life in their homes and neighbourhoods over the long term.
Our activities include research, thought leadership, training and strategy development, based on the organisation's Quality of Life Framework. Working with organisations in the public, private and third sectors, we are instigating practical projects to support more long-term thinking in industry and government. We are a small but influential organisation and have ambitious plans for growth over the coming years.
We were formally registered as a charity in 2022 and operate a wholly-owned commercial trading subsidiary.
The Role
The role of the Trustees is to set the organisation’s strategic direction, monitor the delivery of its objectives, and uphold its values and governance. The board will also guide, advise and support the Chair, who leads the delivery team towards achieving the Foundation’s vision and purpose.
For this role, we are specifically looking for someone with a finance background and existing or previous experience in charity finance and governance to work with existing trustees to oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and the legal obligations of the Charities Act.
The appointed trustee will sit on the Finance, Governance and Risk sub-committee and work with the Foundation’s Director and other trustees to update the board at regular intervals about the financial position of the Quality of Life Foundation and its trading subsidiary, QOLF Trading Ltd. NB all trustees are jointly and severally responsible for the administration of the charity.
Key responsibilities of the trustee include:

Overseeing the creation and implementation of the Quality of Life Foundation’s strategy and business plan.

Main duties:
In addition to the general duties of a trustee, your time will be spent:

Liaising with the Director and/or Business Manager and supporting on financial matters.

Supporting the board to monitor the financial viability of the Quality of Life Foundation and its trading subsidiary, QOLF Trading Ltd.

Creating, in conjunction with relevant senior staff, a set of sound financial processes and procedures for the control of the charity’s assets.

Advising on the financial implications of the Quality of Life Foundation’s Strategic Plan.

Reviewing the annual accounts and, where applicable, liaising with the Foundation’s external accountants to ensure the accounts are compliant with the current Charities’ statement of recommended practice (SORP).

Ensuring that sound financial management is maintained and ensuring expenditure is in line with the Foundation’s charitable objectives.

Commitment
The board meets formally four to six times per year. In addition, you will be expected to join the Finance, Governance and Risk sub-committee of the board and to represent the Foundation at external events.

Trustees report to the Chair of the board. The position is unpaid, but reasonable expenses will be covered.

Due to the nature of the research involved, this opportunity is for sighted individuals only. As a Travel & Tech Research Assistant you will be helping to identify new technology opportunities or solutions that will enable more Blind & Partially Sighted people make independent and spontaneous journeys. You will test what technology would work well for blind and partially sighted travelers - using apps, identifying issues and what workarounds are employed when technology and / or transport fails. You will be feeding back on the physical journey and the emotional journey experiences. As part of your role, you may be required to travel on a range of public transport modes, completing some of the same journeys as our Blind and Partially Sighted Explorers with Tech. This could include downloading and testing new travel apps and logging data/information at various points on the journey. You might also be asked to wear various tracking and data capture tech in order to download data on your mobile phone - stress levels, heart rate and any moments of anxiety. As part of your research you may also be asked to record video, voice notes or take photos of venues, platforms, bus stops etc.

Who are we?
Survivors Can Shine is a community interest company working to empower and protect children and young people by providing platforms to celebrate and amplify their voices. Bringing communities together to change perceptions around child abuse and create young Ambassadors for Change.
This year's Ambassadors for Change Community event will be held on Saturday May 25th in celebration of International Family Day. We are bringing together children, young people, local youth services and the wider community in collective strength in a positive movement for change.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for The Ambassadors for Change Community Event, supported by BBC Children in Need, taking place on the iconic Hampstead Heath on Saturday, May 25th. We’ll need volunteers to help make the day a success by helping manage the crowds, supporting the local community, answering any queries, and just generally representing Survivors Can Shine.

You’ll be part of an uplifting event to mark International Family Day, providing our young people with the opportunity to perform the creative pieces they've been working on and have their voices heard by public figures, the wider community & the Mayor of London who will also be in attendance to hand out the Ambassadors for Change Awards.
You will receive a free enhanced DBS check and Volunteer Safeguarding training that’ll be virtual for 2 hours.
