Volunteer Opportunity: Adult Instructor (Youth Leader)

Join the Ranger Cadets – Inspire and Guide Young People in London

Do you want to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people?

The Ranger Cadets are seeking enthusiastic and committed volunteers to help us deliver engaging programmes that empower cadets to thrive.

We are a new, independent, non-profit uniformed youth organisation with a bold mission: to engage young people in their communities, equip them with essential life skills, and unlock their full potential. We are non-political, non-religious, and proudly inclusive – open to all, regardless of background.

Now, we are looking for Adult Instructors (Youth Leaders) to join our London cadet units and play a vital role in guiding and inspiring cadets at the grassroots level.

The Role

As an Adult Instructor (Youth Leader), you will:

  • Plan, organise, and facilitate a range of positive, engaging, and rewarding activities and programmes for cadets.

  • Assist and support the Divisional Officer in the smooth running of the cadet unit.

  • Help cadets earn badges for their uniform and support them to advance up the ranks.

  • Provide opportunities for cadets to develop confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills that prepare them for life.

  • Represent Ranger Cadets locally, ensuring cadets are seen in uniform as positive role models breaking down stereotypes of young people in the community.

Why Volunteer With Us?

  • Empower young people: Help cadets grow into confident, capable leaders.

  • Be part of something new: Join the founding team of a pioneering youth organisation.

  • Inclusive community: Work with a diverse group of young people and volunteers united by service.

  • Rewarding experience: Gain valuable skills in leadership, mentoring, and youth engagement.

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who is:

  • Passionate about youth development and community service.

  • Creative and organised, able to deliver fun and interactive programmes.

  • A supportive team player, ready to assist the Divisional Officer and inspire cadets.

  • Committed to our values of inclusivity, integrity, and service.

Your Call to Action

This is more than a volunteer role – it’s a chance to make history at the grassroots level. Step into uniform. Take up the challenge. Become an Adult Instructor (Youth Leader) and help us inspire the next generation in London.

Apply today and be part of the founding team of the Ranger Cadets. Together, we will be a force for good.
