Fundraising & Database Volunteer

Rays of Sunshine is looking for a reliable and organised Fundraising & Database Volunteer to support our busy Fundraising Team.

This would suit someone who is confident working with data and administration and who already has some experience of Salesforce.

The role will provide valuable hands-on experience within a national children’s charity, while helping us ensure that supporter and fundraising information is accurately recorded and maintained.

What you’ll be helping with

• Processing and coding fundraising income from banking and income reports into Salesforce.
• Updating supporter, donor and fundraising records accurately and consistently.
• Helping to allocate donations to the correct campaign, event, appeal or income stream.
• Supporting basic data checks and identifying missing or inconsistent information.
• Assisting with donation administration, supporter records and general fundraising administration.
• Helping maintain accurate information for fundraising reporting and reconciliation.
• Supporting the wider Fundraising Team with administrative tasks as required.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has previous experience using Salesforce,
• Is confident working with data and spreadsheets.
• Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Is organised, reliable and comfortable working independently.
• Has good general IT and administrative skills.

• Is interested in fundraising, charities or gaining further experience within the sector.
• Can ideally commit to 1–2 days per week, including time in our Finchley office.

Experience of fundraising administration, donation processing or working within a charity would be helpful, but is not essential.
