Choice International is a UK based not-for-profit international development organisation that seeks to address inequality issues both overseas and within the UK. In view of upcoming development projects, we are seeking applications for a Project Development & Marketing Volunteer to work from our office in East London. There is opportunity for working from home after the first month.

This is an exciting position that offers plenty of scope to make a real difference in support of equality and diversity. We are currently delivering disability sports projects and events in India and in London.

The role is to assist the organisation with the development of national and international programmes for disability and equality rights and other related projects through research, administration and writing proposals, emails and reports.

The main responsibilities will be:

• To research potential partnerships and assist in the development of project proposals
• To research funding opportunities and assist in the development of grant proposals
• To assist in the organisation and management of Choice International activities and events
• To represent Choice International at conferences, exhibitions and seminars, as necessary
• To support other administrative tasks, as necessary.

Choice International is a non-profit organisation promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the UK and overseas. It researches, develops and implements development projects for disabled people and other disadvantaged people in the UK and overseas.

We are seeking a Fundraising Volunteer to support with writing funding proposals, completing funding applications to trusts and foundations as well as contacting corporates for sponsorship for events and one-off projects. You will work form our office based in East London to support with raising funds for our events and organisation in the long term.

Your Key responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with researching and approaching corporate entities, national and international, for event sponsorships, partnerships, Charity of the Year partnerships, and donations from corporate foundations

- Assisting with writing and delivering compelling presentations and proposals for funding to trusts, foundations and other institutes

- Writing emails and speaking with potential partners over the phone about the work of Choice with the aim of securing funds for the organisation.

You will have the following skills and experience:

- A good level of  written and oral communication

- Experience of writing funding proposals and working in fundraising would be an advantage

- Knowledge of corporate fundraising techniques including Charity of the Year, sponsorship, donations, marketing would be an advantage

- An ability to present and engage potential partners/sponsors in a compelling way

We are seeking a motivated and talented volunteer to support us in this role.

Working in a small team, you will be supporting Choice Directors, and will have responsibility for corporate, major donor and other fundraising. You will get involved with some of the largest grant funders in the UK, including the Big Lottery, Comic Relief, London Council and others.

The ideal candidate must have good written communication skills, with experience of writing funding proposals, as well as being motivated to develop a career in fundraising for a good cause.

Further, you should be able to work under your own initiative. We provide a wide array of training, development and guidance for our volunteers. Role Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Manager and Digital Communications Volunteer to join our dynamic team for 6 weeks. Your main work will be managing Tai Animation Studios and Animation Tanzania Social media platforms content including The Animation Tanzania Film Festival scheduled on 31st October 2024.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, digital marketing, and social media management within the creative media and animation industry.

Key Responsibilities are as follow:

Grant Writer

Role Description

Liluye seeks a driven, empathetic, honest, strategic yet process-minded leader with experience in grant research and writing. We are especially looking for individuals who particularly are passionate about: women and girls’ empowerment, anti-trafficking awareness and prevention, circularity, and diversity and inclusion.

The Grant Writer will research, write, prepare, submit, and report on grant proposals to governments, corporations, and foundations. Additionally, they will be responsible for prospect research to seek out new sources of funding that support Liluye’s work. The following is preferred:

• 1-2 years of grant writing and researching experience with a proven track record in the nonprofit sector • Submit an average of 1 – 5 grant proposals per month • Manage, track, and report on existing grant activities

We now have an exciting opportunity for a volunteer Co-Chief Social Impact Officer to join ADC and job share with our current volunteer Chief Social Impact Office Francesco Carvelli. 

Main Purpose of Job: To oversee the design and delivery of social impact programs while ensuring their financial viability through fundraising and partnerships.

Position Reports to: Founder and CEO

Position is Responsible for: Head of Fundraising, Head of Programs, Head of Partnerships, Head of Policy & Research

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
 

• Lead the development of ADC’s social impact strategy, including practical tools and systems that not only track and measure impact performance, but also integrate impact analysis into strategy and decision-making
   
• Lead the development of ADC’s fundraising strategy, with a focus on developing long-term strategic public and private sector partnerships with global and regional corporates, institutions, foundations and high net worth individuals
   
• Play a role in relation to revenue generation by helping to define market relevant value propositions for consulting services based on our Theory of Change, with a goal of achieving a business model that is financially sustainable and delivers on ADC’s strategic vision for catalysing social impact
   
• Lead the creation of new social impact programs, interventions and goals that will inspire and drive the organisation to deliver social impact at scale, and ensuring that the ADC approach and Theory of Change is upheld and enhanced
   
• Lead the development of thought leadership initiatives that position ADC as an influential driver of systemic social change in Africa and leader in social impact research
   
• Play a role in creating and maintaining social impact content, and making it accessible to our Marketing & Communications team for sharing with internal and external audiences to promote ADC’s work
   
• Coordinate and provide oversight and support to the Social Impact team, guiding recruitment and onward career development of team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Essential
 

• +15 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector 
   
• A track record of leading successful fundraising campaigns and grants applications
   
• Experience of design and delivery of social impact programs
   
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop long term relationships with institutional sponsors and individual major donors
   
• Familiarity with impact assessment methodologies and latest developments in the impact measurement field
   
• Ability to create powerful narratives that present social impact in a simple manner
   
• Ability to drive strategy in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team environment
   
• Demonstrated ability to create global and regional networks across the industry
   
• Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment
   
• Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment
   
• A committed team player with good communication skills
   
• Available to volunteer at least 10-15 hours a week

Desirable
 

• Experience working in an early stage star-tup and gone through a scaling phase
   
• Passion for the start-up life and comfortable in a role with a little ambiguity
   
• Experience leading, managing and coaching successful teams in different geographical locations

Main purpose of job: Design and adminster the ADC website, design and manage graphic content for various digital channels

Division: Operations

Department: Marketing & Communications

Position reports to: Head of Marketing & Communications

Position is responsible for: N/A

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Design the ADC website in line with brand guidelines

· Make on-going changes and improvements to website design and content

· Analyse and improve website performance

· Manage user access and permissions on WordPress

· Develop and manage brand content such as logos, buttons, icons etc

· Create new graphics for social media, website, email, posters, flyers, newsletter etc

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience

Essential

· 3+ year of experience as a Web & Graphic Designer

· Knowledge of WordPress, web design tools and technologies such as CSS, HTML

· Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

· Ability to follow brand guidelines to produce work in line with ADC’s brand and to follow graphic design best practices

· Proficient knowledge of industry and digital design’s best practices.

· Knowledge of UX/UI design

· Knowledge in designing responsive websites

· Strong portfolio demonstrating previous work examples

· High level of design ability and attention to detail

· Available to volunteer at least 7-10 hours a week

· Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment

· Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment

· A committed team player with good communication skills
