Job description

Blind Veterans UK runs many events like lunch clubs, day trips and social activities around Greater London and the South East. These help to reduce the effects of isolation so commonly experienced by our members.

To help us improve these events we are looking for a friendly and empathetic volunteer, with good conversation skills, who can phone our veterans after these events to receive their feedback. Does this sound like you?  If yes, you’ll help us meet our members’ needs in the best possible way.

The volunteer will join our busy community team at Blind Veterans UK headquarters as they work to develop the support we offer our members. We expect to need this help once a month.

Volunteers need to be over the age of 18 years. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and relationship boundaries are key to this role. We will give you the necessary training, induction and support to be confident and enjoy your volunteering.
