The Social Supermarket Initiative (SSI) is a community-led social enterprise addressing food insecurity and promoting sustainable community growth through our affordable supermarket model, outreach programmes, and ethical partnerships. 

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and digitally confident Social Media Manager to manage SSI’s social media channels, ensuring consistent, mission-led communication that connects with members, volunteers, partners, and the wider community.This role focuses on platform management, scheduling, live engagement, and audience interaction. 

You will work closely with the Graphic and Content Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure all activity aligns with SSI’s brand, values, and communications policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule, manage, and publish posts on SSI’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) in line with content provided by the Graphic and Content Coordinator.

• Go live on social media platforms as needed to promote events, campaigns, or community initiatives.

• Monitor SSI’s social media channels, including comments, messages, tags, and mentions, ensuring timely, professional, community-centred responses.

• Collaborate with the Graphic and Content Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure messaging aligns with campaigns, brand guidelines, and organisational priorities.

• Track basic analytics and engagement data, providing concise reports and insights to inform ongoing activity.

• Ensure all social media activity complies with SSI’s Brand Identity, Social Media Policy, and Communications Policy.

• Support the promotion of events, membership drives, and campaigns through coordinated social media activity with the team.

As Social Media & Marketing Manager with The Skateboarding Foundation, your role is to develop and support our digital presence, raise awareness, and engage with our audience across various platforms.

Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) is recruiting six volunteers to sit on our new Advisory Council, which will support the work of the organisation by helping to guide our strategy and direction, develop new thinking around our grassroot activism, research, campaigning and advocacy work, and strengthen our solidarity networks, coalitions and allyships, especially with and amongst marginalised and racialised communities. 

The Advisory Council will complement our governing board (the Steering Committee). We are now looking for someone with an interest in Charity Communications/Social Media who can take on the responsibilities of the direct social media output. The successful candidate will join us in our office or other locations mainly in North London once a week. We are looking for someone with a passion for social media and an understanding of how important it can be to a charity and the people we help.

Core Responsibilities

• Create content to be attractive, informative and inclusive.
• Post across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to promote the organisation

Social Support Volunteer (Mentor)

This role offers one-to-one support to people experiencing issues with housing, healthcare, benefits, and employment. You will support individuals, helping them to access accommodation, secure financial support, improve their health and wellbeing, and develop employability skills.

What will you be doing?

You will support individuals to navigate complex systems such as housing, benefits and healthcare, offering practical help with forms and appointments in a respectful and confidential way. Work closely with partners including SIFA Fireside, Room Match, Tabor House and Street Link, and support people with CVs, job applications and work experience. You will also be involved in community engagement, raising awareness of homelessness and maintaining accurate, confidential records.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who communicates respectfully and has a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people. You’ll be organised and able to manage time, records and appointments effectively, while working well as part of a team to provide joined-up support. About us

UpCycle, works with individuals in prisons and young people at risk in marginalised communities.  We use bicycle maintenance workshops to help build life skills, enhance employability, prevent offending and reoffending, and foster social reintegration.  We also offer lead rides, bike fit-it sessions and other ways to engage with vulnerable people.

In prisons

· We delivered 956 un-refurbished bikes and received back 768 refurbished bikes across eight prisons and one Young Offenders Institution, training over 238 individuals.

In the Community

· Over 1034 bikes were donated to our Community Bike Shop, of those we refurbished and distributed more than 612 to underserved communities locally and overseas.

· Workshops in Bradford engaged 361 participants in diverse cycling-related activities across the area.

· "Bike to the Future" and other initiatives reached 220 young people with more complex needs.

The Social Media Director is responsible for shaping and leading the organisation’s entire social media vision, strategy, and execution during its foundational phase. TESYouth (Training, Employment Opportunities & Social Development for Youth) is a NFP social enterprise which focuses on improving the rate of youth employment, through volunteering, interactive and skill-based workshops, work-experience and training programmes. Together with our strategic partners, we collaborate with organisations to provide youth to develop their skills, and to assist in achieving their career aspirations.

About the Role 

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. We aim to increase inclusion and representation for disabled families across society. We have several different services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails and more. 

As we continue to grow, we are on a mission to make finding and accessing information around everything to do with disability easier. Hence, we're putting together a brand-new team of volunteers who are passionate about content and using the power of social media for good

Who Are We Looking For?

·Someone who is passionate about our mission of inclusion, representation, and belonging.

·Having social media skills is helpful, but enthusiasm for creating and editing content, building online communities, and supporting our digital presence is essential.

·You should enjoy research, taking on challenges, and bringing a creative mindset to your work.

·Be willing to learn or have knowledge of editing and posting videos.

·Be able to support our online initiatives while collaborating with our team.

What Do We Expect?

·Must be willing to undertake our training programme, which will be completed virtually at a time that suits you.

·Have a DBS check (preferably be on the update service) or be willing to complete one with us.

·Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it, please discuss it with us; we’re happy to make small changes where appropriate.)

·Have a positive attitude toward disability and illness.
