About Ignite Youth (East London)

Ignite Youth is a brand-new, ambitious youth club dedicated to empowering young people (ages 11-18) across East London. While our frontline youth workers create the magic, we need a strong, professional back-office team to ensure our operations are efficient, compliant, and ready for growth. We are looking for skilled individuals to help us build a strong foundation for the future.

The Opportunity: Be the Power Behind the Purpose

We are seeking skilled and reliable volunteers to contribute their professional expertise in areas where we need it most. This is a project-based, flexible role ideal for professionals, retirees, or students looking to gain strategic experience within the charity sector.

We have immediate needs for support in the following areas:

  • Recruitment/HR: Drafting role descriptions, managing applications, onboarding new volunteers, and maintaining records.
  • Administration: Organising digital files, managing database input, scheduling meetings, and developing policy templates.
  • Marketing/Comms: Scheduling social media posts, writing newsletters, and maintaining website content.
  • Fundraising Support: Researching small grant opportunities and assisting with basic application form completion.

Key Responsibilities (Specific to your area of interest):

  • Applying existing professional skills to complete defined projects and tasks.

  • Maintaining clear communication with the Founder/Trustee Board on project progress.

  • Upholding data protection and confidentiality standards (training provided).

What We're Looking For

  • Proven professional or academic experience in Administration, HR, Marketing, or similar fields.

  • High proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tasks independently.

  • Reliability and a commitment to meeting agreed-upon deadlines.

  • A passion for supporting the mission of youth development in East London.

What We Offer You

  • Strategic Impact: The chance to shape the charity's processes and infrastructure from the beginning.

  • Flexibility: Work remotely on a schedule that fits your availability.

  • Professional Reference: A strong reference highlighting your strategic contributions.

  • Purpose: The satisfaction of using your professional skills to empower local youth.
