About the role
As a Policy and Campaigns Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting our efforts to influence policy, raise awareness, and advocate for improved mental health services for young people. You will work closely with our Policy and Campaigns team to help shape and deliver impactful campaigns and contribute to policy development aimed at creating lasting change.
We are looking for dynamic volunteers who will help us to advocate for change, and work collaboratively with other Policy Volunteers and across the wider charity, to plan, create, and roll out policy and campaigns.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in research, analysis and drafting of policy papers, briefing notes, and reports related to mental health issues affecting young people.

Ealing Book Festival registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in November 2023. Its objects are to advance the public education in West London’s Ealing through an annual book festival and writing-related events for the enjoyment of books. Our April 2024 the charity ran its successful first main event, with 86% tickets sold and very positive feedback on the quality and range of the events. The festival comprised 19 events including a great children’s poetry competition. We’re planning for April 2025.

About Us
In 2021, we began as a small volunteer group with a vision to empower young girls in Afghanistan facing immense barriers to learning by providing quality education and facilitating community-based education. As our positive impact spread, we expanded our reach to socially and/or economically disadvantaged individuals in Iran and among Persian-speaking immigrants and refugees, where the need for empowerment and educational support was equally critical.

Our focus has been on transformative subjects such as philosophy, critical thinking, creative thinking and writing, art and performance, workshops on mental health, environment, creative writing, and philosophical inquiries.
