The Role

As our first-ever Volunteer Chief Operating Officer, you’ll work closely with the Founder to take SUNSHINE from “almost there” to “we’re live”.

You’ll help us:

• Finalise the operational systems we’ve already built and add anything missing to them.
• Strengthen governance and readiness as we await charity status.
• Prepare the organisation for delivery of our pilot programmes.
• Shape volunteer onboarding and simple, human‑friendly processes.
• Support the launch of SUNSHINE DAY.
• Ensure we’re safe, smooth, and ready to welcome the public.
• Bring calm, clarity, and structure to a fast‑moving, heart‑led start‑up charity.

This is a role for someone who loves the final stretch — the polishing, the tightening, the “let’s get this ready for the world” energy.

Who You Are

You’re someone who thrives in start-up and early‑stage environments where things are already in motion and need a confident, capable operator to bring everything together.

You might be perfect if you:

• Have experience in operations, charity leadership, or organisational development.
• Enjoy turning ideas and drafts into clear, working systems.
• Can bring structure without losing warmth.
