Your Role: Company Secretary (Trustee)

This isn’t just any volunteer role — this is your chance to help shape the foundations of a brand‑new charity.

As our Company Secretary, you’ll be the calm, organised, trusted presence who helps ensure SUNSHINE is well‑run, compliant and confident as we grow. You’ll support the Board of Trustees, keep our governance in great shape, and help us build a charity that shines with integrity.

You don’t need to be a legal expert — just someone who is organised, reliable, and happy to learn.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll help us stay safe, compliant and well‑organised by:

• Supporting the Board of Trustees with good governance

• Preparing agendas, minutes and paperwork for Board meetings

• Keeping our records, policies and filings up to date

• Ensuring we meet our legal and regulatory responsibilities

• Helping maintain clear, positive communication across the Board

• Supporting the Chair with smooth, well‑run meetings

• Keeping an eye on deadlines, filings and key governance tasks

• Helping us build strong, transparent systems as we grow

You’ll be the person who helps us stay grounded, organised and accountable — so we can focus on bringing sunshine to the people who need it most.
