WE'RE SUNSHINE CHARITY!!!

SUNSHINE is a small but ambitious grassroots charity on a big mission: to reduce loneliness and help people feel truly seen, valued and connected. Powered 100% by passionate volunteers, we design joyful community projects, awareness campaigns, partnerships and support services that bring people together, spread joy and community spirit. nurture connection and help boost confidence and wellbeing.

Loneliness in London is at an all-time high, and SUNSHINE is on a mission to change that. We have the heart; now we need the "People Architect" to build our community from the inside out. You will lead on creating a united, close-knit team where every volunteer feels informed, valued, and empowered to end isolation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Team Architect: Design and lead the strategy for building a high-performing, compassionate team culture from scratch.
  • End-to-End Recruitment: Lead the search for passionate Londoners, from writing catchy adverts to selecting the right talent.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Create a "Welcome Wagon" experience—designing induction packs and processes that make every new joiner feel part of the family from day one.
  • Volunteer Engagement: Ensure our volunteers stay connected through regular updates, "social glue" events (virtual or in-person), and rituals that celebrate our common goal.
  • Common Goal Alignment: Act as the "North Star" for the team, ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction with a shared sense of purpose. 

This Role is for You if...

  • You are a "people person" with a strategic brain and a background in HR, coaching, or community building.
  • You have a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and excited.
  • You are based in or have a strong connection to London and want to leave a lasting impact on its social landscape. 

Practical Details

  • Location: Flexible/Hybrid (Remote work with regular meetups in London.
  • Time Commitment: 4–6 hours per week (flexible around your existing commitments).
