Job description

WE'RE SUNSHINE CHARITY!!!

SUNSHINE is a small but ambitious grassroots charity on a big mission: to reduce loneliness and help people feel truly seen, valued and connected. Powered 100% by passionate volunteers, we design joyful community projects, awareness campaigns, partnerships and support services that bring people together, spread joy and community spirit. nurture connection and help boost confidence and wellbeing.

London is facing a loneliness epidemic, and SUNSHINE is the antidote. We have the vision and the board; now we need the strategic engine to drive us from startup to launch. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to turn our ambitious goals into a clear, actionable roadmap.

The Architect of our Launch
As our Founding Project Manager, you will be the "source of truth" for the entire team. You won’t just be ticking boxes; you will be designing the very framework that allows our charity to begin its life-changing work.

Your Impact:

  • The Master Plan: Create and own the end-to-end project timeline from current startup phase to our official London launch.
  • Clarity & Direction: Ensure every volunteer—from the CEO to the frontline befrienders - knows exactly where we are, what the milestones are, and what needs to happen next.
  • Operational Oversight: Identify potential bottlenecks before they happen and keep our diverse team of volunteers synchronised and motivated.
  • Launch Leadership: Drive the "Go-Live" phase, ensuring all moving parts (governance, recruitment, and tech) land perfectly on time.

Who You Are:

  • Experience Required: You have a proven track record in Project Management (PMO, Agile, or Prince2 experience is a huge plus).
  • A Master Communicator: You can translate complex plans into simple, motivating updates for a non-technical team.
  • Strategic & Focused: You thrive on deadlines and love the challenge of building a project structure from a blank canvas.

The Logistics:

  • Location: Remote / Home-based (with occasional strategy coffee in London).
  • Commitment: Approx. 4–6 hours per week (flexible around your professional life).
  • Support: Direct partnership with the Founder, COO and the Board of Trustees.

What’s In It For You?

  • A "Fingerprint" Project: The rare chance to say you built the operational foundations of a London charity.
  • Executive Networking: Collaborate with a high-energy founding team of professionals.
  • Tangible Legacy: See your project plan result in real-world connections for isolated Londoners.

How to Apply:
If you have the skills to turn a vision into a reality, we want to hear from you. Please send your CV via CharityJob.
