Job description

WE'RE SUNSHINE CHARITY!!!

SUNSHINE is a small but ambitious grassroots charity on a big mission: to reduce loneliness and help people feel truly seen, valued and connected. Powered 100% by passionate volunteers, we design joyful community projects, awareness campaigns, partnerships and support services that bring people together, spread joy and community spirit. nurture connection and help boost confidence and wellbeing.

London’s loneliness crisis is growing, and SUNSHINE is building a movement to stop it. We are a fast-paced startup charity with a big vision, but every great movement needs a solid foundation. We are looking for a super-organised, proactive Volunteer Office Manager to build our systems from the ground up and keep our mission on track.

The Heart of Operations
This isn't just data entry; it’s about creating the engine room. You will be the CEO’s right-hand person, turning vision into organised reality. You are someone who sees a gap and fills it, sees a mess and organises it, and sees a process and perfects it.

Your Impact:

  • System Architect: Set up and manage our remote office infrastructure (Google Workspace/Microsoft 365, CRM, and internal comms).
  • Strategic Admin: Support the CEO with high-priority charity duties, from governance filings to stakeholder scheduling.
  • Team Harmoniser: Keep our remote team of volunteers on track, ensuring everyone has the tools and information they need to succeed.
  • Process Ninja: Create the "How-To" guides for the charity, ensuring that as we scale across London, our quality remains gold-standard.

Who You Are:

  • Unstoppably Organised: You find joy in a clean inbox and a perfectly structured folder system.
  • A Self-Starter: You don’t wait for a to-do list; you create it. You are comfortable taking initiative in a "blank canvas" startup environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are at home with remote collaboration tools and love finding ways to work smarter, not harder.
  • London-Linked (Preferred): While the role is remote, being based in London is a major plus as we pilot our work in the capital.

The Logistics:

  • Location: Fully Remote (with the occasional optional team coffee in London).
  • Commitment: Approx. 5–8 hours per week (flexible).
  • Reporting: Working directly with the Founder/CEO and the COO.

What’s In It For You?

  • A Founding Seat: Be one of the first names on the team of a charity destined to change London’s social landscape.
  • Full Autonomy: The freedom to set up systems exactly the way you know they work best.
  • Executive Experience: High-level exposure to charity governance and leadership.

How to Apply:
If you are the person who keeps everyone else organised and you’re ready to use those skills for good, we want to hear from you. Please apply via CharityJob with a CV.
