Your Role: Growth & External Affairs Director 

This isn’t just any volunteer role — this is your chance to shape how SUNSHINE shows up in the world.

As our Growth & External Affairs Director, you’ll lead the strategy that helps SUNSHINE grow: fundraising, marketing, PR, partnerships, campaigns, and everything that builds our visibility and support.

You’ll be the storyteller, the connector, the relationship‑builder, the “let’s get SUNSHINE out there” energy behind our external presence.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll help us grow our reach and impact by:

• Leading SUNSHINE’s fundraising strategy (campaigns, donors, community fundraising, partnerships).

• Building relationships with supporters, partners, funders and local organisations.

• Developing our marketing, PR and communications approach.

• Helping shape our brand voice and public storytelling.

• Creating warm, uplifting campaigns that inspire people to get involved.

• Growing our social media presence and community engagement.

• Bringing fresh ideas to the table (we LOVE ideas).

• Helping shape the charity’s direction as we grow.

• Making sure everything we share feels inclusive, positive and full of sunshine.

You don’t need to be a seasoned director — just someone who cares deeply about people and loves helping meaningful things grow.
