Your Role: Head of People, Culture & Talent

This isn’t just any volunteer role — this is your chance to help shape the heart of a brand‑new charity.

As our Head of People, Culture & Talent, you’ll help build the systems, culture and relationships that make SUNSHINE a joyful, inclusive and supportive place to volunteer. You’ll help us recruit brilliant people, nurture their growth, and create a culture rooted in kindness, belonging and wellbeing.

You’ll be the listener, the connector, the culture‑builder, the “let’s make this feel good for everyone” energy behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll help us build a people‑first charity by:

• Leading volunteer recruitment, onboarding and support

• Helping shape our culture, values and ways of working

• Creating warm, inclusive processes that make people feel welcome

• Supporting the CEO and leadership team with people‑focused decisions

• Developing simple, friendly HR systems and policies

• Ensuring volunteers feel supported, appreciated and connected

• Helping build a diverse, inclusive and joyful team

• Bringing fresh ideas to the table (we LOVE ideas)

• Being a warm, approachable presence for everyone who joins SUNSHINE

You don’t need to be an HR expert — just someone who cares deeply about people and loves helping them thrive.
