We’re SUNSHINE Charity, a brand‑new small grassroots charity that works to reduce loneliness and help people feel more connected: through projects, partnerships, and community support. We're a start‑up on a mission to bring connection, joy, confidence and belonging back into people’s lives. We create warm, uplifting, community‑based activities that help people step out of isolation and into a world where they feel seen, heard, valued and supported.

Your Role: SUNSHINE Programmes Director

This isn’t just any volunteer role — this is a chance to shape the heart and soul of our charity.

As our Programmes Director, you’ll help design, develop and deliver the activities, projects and experiences that make SUNSHINE… well, SUNSHINE.

You’ll be the creative spark, the organiser, the people‑person, the “let’s make this happen” energy behind our community programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll help us dream big and bring those dreams to life by:

• Designing fun, engaging, uplifting community activities.
• Developing programmes that support wellbeing, confidence and connection.
• Working with partners, volunteers and community groups.
• Bringing fresh ideas to the table (we LOVE ideas).
• Helping shape the charity’s direction as we grow.
• Making sure our programmes are inclusive, positive and full of sunshine.
• Supporting volunteers and helping them shine in their roles.
• Being a warm, friendly presence for the people we serve.

You don’t need to be a seasoned director — just someone who cares deeply about people and loves creating experiences that make others feel good.
