We're looking for someone with UK accounting / financial management and controls experience to join our brand new board and lead on the financial aspects of our new start-up charity.

SUNSHINE is a start-up grassroots, heart‑led London charity on a mission to tackle loneliness with warmth, dignity, and joy. Through community clubs, workshops, befriending, and uplifting support, we create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected.

We're searching for a Finance Trustee to serve as our Treasurer — someone with UK accounting experience who believes that strong financial stewardship can change lives.

What You’ll Lead

As our Treasurer, you will:

  • Guide the Board of Trustees with clear, regular financial updates.

  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and Charity Commission requirements.

  • Act as a lead signatory and support day‑to‑day financial processes.

  • Champion transparency and ethical stewardship in everything we do.

  • Shape the future of SUNSHINE, helping us reach more people who need connection and hope.
