SUNSHINE is a brand new, 100% volunteer-powered charity on a mission to rewrite the story of loneliness and wellbeing in the UK. We’re building warm, joyful, people-first spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected. With our Board in place and our charity registration imminent, we’re preparing to launch our first programmes—and now we’re looking for someone who can help us share our message with the world.

The VOLUNTEER Opportunity

We’re looking for a Volunteer Digital Marketing Volunteer to help us grow SUNSHINE’s online presence, build awareness, and connect with people who need us most. You’ll help craft content, shape our digital identity, and support the early growth of a movement built on warmth, belonging, and human connection.

If you love social media, enjoy creating engaging content, and want to use your creativity to make a real difference, this role is perfect for you.

What You’ll Support

• Social Media Content: Create warm, uplifting posts for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

• Digital Storytelling: Help share stories, updates, and messages that reflect SUNSHINE’s mission and values.

• Campaign Support: Assist with small digital campaigns to recruit volunteers, raise awareness, and promote our early programmes.

• Brand Consistency: Help ensure our tone, visuals, and messaging feel authentically SUNSHINE across all channels.

• Engagement: Support community interaction by responding to comments, messages, and enquiries with warmth and care.

• Creative Ideas: Bring fresh, people-first ideas that help us reach those who feel lonely or disconnected.

Ideally, You Will Bring

• Experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation, or strong transferable skills.

• A creative, positive approach to online communication.

• Confidence using social media platforms and basic digital tools.

• A good eye for tone, visuals, and storytelling.

• A passion for tackling loneliness and improving wellbeing in communities.

• A collaborative, movement-minded spirit.

Commitment & Flexibility

This is a remote, fully flexible volunteer role with no set hours. You choose when and how you give your time, and you can step back at any point if your circumstances change.
