We are looking for a Volunteer Audio Engineer / Editor to join our Podcast Production Team.
You will help transform raw recordings into clear, professional podcast episodes while maintaining high standards of sound quality and respectful storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit podcast recordings to professional audio quality
• Remove background noise and improve sound clarity
• Balance audio levels between hosts and guests
• Apply EQ, compression and basic mastering
• Prepare final audio files for podcast distribution
• Support the team with audio clips for promotional use
• Ensure audio content meets quality and production standards
Who We're Looking For
Essential
• Experience using audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper, Logic Pro or similar)
• Experience editing spoken audio (podcasts, interviews, voice recordings)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable working with sensitive subject matter
Bonus Skills
• Experience working on podcasts
• Understanding of audio mastering
• Interest in mission-led media or social impact work
Formal qualifications are not required — practical experience and portfolio work are welcome.
