Job description

 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Psychotherapist to join our team in Buckinghamshire, with a particular focus on Early Years work with Autistic children aged 0–5 years.

Applicants must have direct Early Years (0–5) experience to be considered.

Working closely with our Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will co-deliver supportive, evidence-based programmes for young autistic children and their families, including our flagship First Steps programme.

What will you be doing?

  • Assess separately and jointly with the Occupational Therapist the needs of the child and their families,
  • Writing reports for the family and organisation, as required
  • Participate in regular meeting with the Occupational Therapist and Child psychotherapist Team Leader
  • Report any concerns to child psychotherapist Team Leader and provide suggestions and recommendations for action

What are we looking for?

  • An accredited Professional qualification in Child Psychotherapy -Trained child and adolescent psychotherapist or psychoanalytic psychotherapist or psychodynamic psychotherapist
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrable experience of working with young autistic children and their families
  • Understanding of safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation
  • Understanding of data protection requirements and relevant legislation
  • Understanding of confidentiality and in service provision and their limitations

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
