Do you have great organisational skills, enjoy helping people and want to make a difference to the lives of rabbits and rodents?
Tiny Paws MCR Small Animal Rescue is looking for a Volunteer Admin Assistant to help keep our rescue running smoothly behind the scenes!
We’re a volunteer-run, vegan animal rescue in Greater Manchester, dedicated to helping rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice and other small animals find suitable, loving homes. We also support people who need to find new homes for their companion animals and offer grooming services.
As our Admin Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping us manage enquiries, coordinate adoptions and surrenders, and keep our animal records up to date.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing our email inbox and responding to enquiries
- Handling adoption enquiries and helping potential adopters through the process
- Triaging surrender requests and maintaining our surrender waiting list
- Managing enquiries and bookings for our grooming service
- Updating animal records using our online software
- Preparing adoption paperwork and forms
- Helping keep our administrative processes organised and up to date
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Is organised, reliable and able to manage tasks independently
-
Has good written communication skills and a friendly, professional approach
-
Is comfortable using email, online systems and digital records
-
Can handle sensitive enquiries with empathy and discretion
-
Shares our commitment to animal welfare, vegan ethics and animal rights
-
Supports equality and is firmly against discrimination in all its forms
Previous administrative experience would be helpful, but it’s not essential. We’ll provide guidance and support to help you learn our processes.
What you’ll get out of volunteering with us:
- The chance to make a real difference to small animals in need
- Experience in charity administration and rescue coordination
- The opportunity to develop your organisational and communication skills
- The satisfaction of supporting a small, dedicated rescue team
This is a volunteer role, so it is unpaid. We’re happy to discuss a flexible commitment that works for you and the rescue.
