Help build relationships that support a new pop‑up youth service in London
About the project: We are launching a pop‑up youth service for young people in London, offering safe spaces, positive activities, and early‑help support. To grow our reach and build strong foundations, we are looking for a Community Engagement Lead who can help us connect with local organisations, schools, councils, and community groups.
The role: You will take the lead on building and maintaining community relationships by:
-
Reaching out to youth centres, schools, charities, and local services
-
Attending meetings with partners (with the founder or on behalf of the project)
-
Representing the project at community events and networking opportunities
-
Following up with contacts and keeping communication warm and consistent
-
Helping identify opportunities for collaboration, referrals, and shared delivery
-
Supporting the development of a local presence and community trust
Who this role suits: Someone who is confident speaking with people and enjoys building relationships. Experience in youth work, community engagement, or the charity sector is helpful but not essential. A friendly, professional manner and good communication skills are key.
Accessibility & support: The founder experiences anxiety and dyslexia, so this role is ideal for someone who is comfortable taking the lead in meetings and supporting written follow‑ups. Patience, clarity, and a supportive approach are important.
Time commitment: Flexible — around 3–5 hours per week. Mostly remote with occasional in‑person meetings or events.
